10 One Ingredient Blackheads Removal Methods

With the selfie fever all around, who wants the nose to look weird with all these black heads!!! Whiteheads and blackheads find their place in nose pores, no matter what we do. At times, just squeezing out soft skin after shower or steam session works fine, but when you need a clear picture and have ran out of your favourite nose strips, try these home remedies with readily available items at home. They will never disappoint you!

Blackhead removal methods

1. Epsom Salt

The first remedy is from chemist shop and not from home kitchen. Mix one teaspoon Epsom salt along with few drops of liquid Iodine solution in hot water (small quantity). Once the salt crystals have dissolved, allow it to cool to room temperature and then apply to the nose area/ affected area. Let it dry and clean the skin with a washcloth or wet wipe.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda is a powerful kitchen and beauty ingredient and really inexpensive. The trick to use it for blackhead removal is pretty simple. Just mix a decent quantity of baking soda with water to create a medium consistency paste. Apply on the nose area and let it dry for a couple of minutes before rinsing with regular temperature water.

3. Green Tea

Use the health and beauty master green tea for blackheads! Grind dry green tea leaves and mix with warm water. Apply and massage the affected area for five minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

4. Cinnamon

Take cinnamon stick powder and mix with honey to scrub out the blackheads affected area. Though, I am not much a fan of this method as when I try to get cinnamon powdered at home, it still has hard particles leftover and I have to sieve it, which makes the process time consuming.

5. Fenugreek Seeds

This is the most effective one. Soak a decent quantity of fenugreek seeds for few hours and preferably overnight. Make a thick consistency paste with small amount of water and apply on the desired area. Scrub and keep it for ten minutes before rinsing with warm water. This can be done every day and you will get rid of the oldest blackheads ever. The bonus here is that you can use the leftover, excess fenugreek soak water by giving a rinse to your hair after bath to reduce hair fall noticeably.

6. Turmeric
Crush some fresh mint leaves and ensure to preserve their juice. Mix it with small amount of turmeric to treat blackheads. Wash with lukewarm water.

7. Cornmeal
This is the best one for a clean skin as well. Grind a tablespoon of cornmeal and mix it with your facial cleanser (may or be foaming or liquid). Take mild steam on face for ten minutes to open up pores and then scrub the face with circular motion movements with this mixture for few minutes. Make sure you rinse it off with cold water to close pores when finished.

8. Lemon Juice
Squeeze out lemon juice mixed with half a shallow teaspoon of salt, one teaspoon honey and one tablespoon yogurt (without water). Apply as a natural exfoliants for getting rid of blackheads as well for a rejuvenated skin.

9. Oatmeal
Grind 3 tablespoon oatmeal and mix with one tomato’s juice to create a thick paste. Apply for the blackhead treatment and fresher skin.

10. Honey
Apply honey! Yes, simply apply honey on the affected area and keep it on for ten minutes. Rinse with warm water and slowly with soft hands, squeeze out black and white heads. Later on, wash with cold water to close the pores. Honey is the best agent for shrinking large pores as well.

  1. Hi Sumera! 🙂 I would love to try Fenugreek Seeds one since you have called it the most effective. I love using home remedies, especially when it comes to blackheads. I dread those tools that they use in salons. :O
