I am pretty aware that most Indian women don’t wear eyeshadows. But I feel a little bit of effort goes a long way. Even if you are not an eyeshadow wearer, these three eyeshadows would really make difference to your overall look.
A Soft Brown color : A soft brown eyeshadow that would add brightness to your eye lids and make you look more awake. I feel you should try a couple of these muted brown shades before you pick the one that suits you the most. Some muted browns can give you a dark eye circles / tired look and that’s not what you want. Just apply a little primer and a wash of this color all over the lid, it would prevent your eye lids from getting oily, would make you look more awake/fresh and would give a longer lasting power to your eyeliner. A Medium Brown shade : A very versatile color that you can use as an soft eyeliner when you don’t want to use a black. You can use it for your brows. You can also use it in your crease to add a bit of definition to your lids. Best, you can do a soft smokey eye with this and a soft brown eyeshadow. Voila! 🙂 Color shown : MAC Eyeshadow in Espresso
A Matte Black Eyeshadow :Pretty much does every thing that a medium brown shade does but this is black. You can always smudge your eyeliner pencil with a black liner and get a soft smokey eye look. You can press the black eyeshadow on top / underneath your kajal and that would prevent your kajal from smudging and going all over the place. Color shown : MAC Eyeshadow in Nehru
I could also include a highlighter shade. But you can always replace your highlighter color with a bit of compact. SO no eyeshadow needed. 🙂
For beginners, it is always a good option to pick a neutral eyeshadow palette. A total no brainer. But most neutral palettes do not come with a black eyeshadow so that you can buy as a single. 🙂
