4 Makeup Brushes I Rarely Use!

You know how most of the time I end up posting my favourites. So this time I thought I’d post about some of my not-favs. These are 4 makeup brushes in my stash that I rarely use. Hope you like the post. πŸ™‚

Sigma Concealer Brush F70 : I think the best concealer brush I have ever used is THIS one. I tried using it as a lip brush but then I find it a bit wider for a lip brush. So basically, it just sits pretty in my brush jar. πŸ™‚

Colorbar Blush brush : The crappiest blush brush I have ever used. It can easily pass off Β as a laptop cleaner. Scratchy, rough, picks up too less color.

Illamasqua Blush Brush : While the Colorbar rarely picks up blush, this one picks up way too much product. And you cannot blend with this because it is a very dense brush. So until you want a line-looking blush on your cheeks, go for this brush. You can use it as a contour brush but then again you would need two brushes – you apply contour color with this brush and then use a fluffy brush to blend the color. Yawwwnnn!!

Inglot Brush 80HPS : I have never been able to find a very good use for this one. It is thicker than a pencil brush and …it is not a blending or an eyeshadow application brush. You can use it to build color on the outer corner of the lid but a good pencil brush does the job.

  1. The colorbar one looks sooo great and cute *drool* i think that is the way to attract the customers to buy dud products *hihi* *hihi* and the illamasqua looks unique though *drool* i have kept the maybelline gel liner brush like this only… i think it is really thick and does not help drawing a thin line.. i use an eyeliner brush which draws a pretty line.. and when i was small i used to use paint brushes for make-up lol rofl

    1. yeah maybelline gel liner brush is quite nice. i have a few of them myself. πŸ˜€ but i love a good thin paint brush for the eyeliner πŸ˜€ inglot 30 t is another of my fave!! πŸ™‚

  2. Ah! So many Rati! Dont *hunterwali* *hunterwali* me but my rarely used brushes include MAC 217, MAC 239, EB blending brush, NARS smudger! Thats coz Im not good with eye makeup and dont get time to really experiment (though have all stuff ready to do it) – all I do is eyeliner (in diff colours) and over all lid paint pot. Have half a dozen brushes for the former and fingers for the latter. So these high end brushes remain untouched!! *waaa* *waaa* *waaa*

Ive been wanting to do posts on brushes for sooooooo long…but everything gets pushed back thanks to the breath-taking lippies! There are so many things to be reviewed and so little time!! *headbang* *headbang* *headbang*

  3. you saved me *thankyou*
just y’day i saw these pretty black n pink colorbar brushes and was so tempted to buy them *drool* spcly this blush brush only *powder*
but then some guests were waiting back home n mom dragged me away from the kiosk *smack* *smack* *headbang* *headbang*
so a big thanx to you, my mom and the guests *happydance* *hihi* *hihi*

  4. Super post Rati.. *woot* …all these brushes including the Colorbar ones are costly and this post will save a lot of money and we can check other options out. The colorbar one *hunterwali* *hunterwali*

  5. lol !! the colorbar one.. laptop cleaning brush, jewellery box cleaning brush, back scratcher! a truely versatile brush πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ heheee !! oh..cat grooming brush?
lekin ek use ho sakta hai… to dust mattifying loose powder on the hairline as a dry shampoo… haina?

  6. Hi I agree about the Colorbar brush. But I have a NARS brush similar to the Illamasqua one and its great with contouring with fit the hollow of the cheeks really snugly may be you could try doing that.
