Hope you all are having a nice weekend! Today we would be talking on tips and tricks to have a healthy skin from within.  No creams, no facials and no money required but just few careful steps, so sit back relax and read my top 5 tips for healthy skin.

First and foremost, Sunscreen. Protect your skin from the sun and half your work is done. Sun is the major cause for wrinkles, blemishes and age spots and the UV rays also risk skin cancer. So have your SUNBLOCK no matter where you are.
Things to remember :
• Pick a minimum SPF 15
• Reapply sunscreen after 2-3 hours ( hence I prefer sunscreen sprays)
• Avoid the sun between 10 am and 4 pm, these hours of the day, the sun it at its worst. 

Secondly, give up on cigarettes. Smoking definitely changes the skin’s appearance. Smoking decreases the flow of blood and also reduces oxygen from the skin. It damages the elastin and collagen. Smoking also contributes to wrinkles.

The next thing is something which we all tend to avoid and ignore, that is treating our skin gently. Now you must be having things running in the mind like, I use a nice gentle face wash, a mild moisturizer and a even softer toning lotion but there’s more.
• Limit your shower time. Long hours in the shower (hot or cold) deprives your skin from essential oils.
• Opt for shower gels rather than soaps.
• Never rub off water with a towel, just pat on dry, so that there’s some moisture in the skin.
• Never forget a body butter or body moisturizer.

Also get proper sleep and maintain a nice diet. Eat vegetables and fruits in plenty. Refined carbohydrates and proteins are great for your skin.

The last one is the toughest one, one thing women can’t do – manage stress. When I am stressed, I get bad dark circles, break outs, and my skin looks like I have been moisture deprived all my life. My lips chap, and all that “fun” stuff. 

On this note, I want to know how you guys manage stress, don’t tell me listen to music, read some books or go out for a walk, IT DOESN’T HELP. 

  2. Hi there ladies. I just came across this blog and i noticed that none of us men have commented as yet. So let me be the first. I would like to say that i think the tips are very informative and relevant. This is beneficial to us men too and i must say i didn’t know that cigarette smoking damages the skin and causes wrinkles. I would also like to suggest a few things for you ladies when it comes to handling stress. First of all make time for yourself. Make this a priority. Next make sure to get enough sleep time each and every night. Let no one at all infringe upon this. Not even you 🙂
    When you get home in the evenings, take some time to relax and unwind before you get into whatever you have to do at home. Maybe 15 to 30 minutes will do. Finally practice meditation. You may be surprised to find that this helps.
