5 Ways to Use Aspirin for Beautification

Aspirin, this round little white pile, serves many a useful purpose other than helping relieve minor aches and pain. This little pill, if used correctly, can help us beautify our skin too. So, do you utilize this wonder pill to make a difference to your skin? Let us show you 5 simple ways in which you can do just that!

aspirin face mask

1. Aspirin Mask

aspirin
Dissolve enough aspirins, (3-4) with just enough water to form a paste and apply it to your skin. If you find the mask too drying, add a teaspoon of organic honey. If you are in need of more moisture, you could add oils such as a drop or two of olive oil too. I have even read about people adding tea tree oil etc, to take it up a notch further. What works here is the salicylic acid. That’s the reason, this mask helps with acne. Also, it helps with redness and helps in the removal of blackheads. And you cannot miss the immediate glow it gives. Try it, might become your on the go mask!

2. Aspirin for Ingrown hair

Simply dissolve aspirin pills (15-16) in rubbing alcohol (70 %) and your homemade tendskin is ready! Actually, you could even add witch hazel and glycerin if you find it too drying, but just aspirin and rubbing alcohol works fine too, it does the job. I have tried it, and it indeed is miraculous. You could order rubbing alcohol online and get uncoated aspirin at chemist shops for as little as Rs 4 for 10 pills!

3. Aspirin spot treatment

So, you wake up in the morning and find a pimple emerging! What do you do?? Get an aspirin! Dissolve an aspirin with enough water to form a paste. Apply this to that ugly zit and let it sit for half an hour. Wash it off with plain water. Pat dry. Whoa! The redness is gone. The pimple has subsided. What more could have happened in half an hour?? Do you have a better idea?

4. Aspirin feet softener

Dissolve a couple of aspirin in equal parts of lemon and water. Apply it to your cracked feet. To take it up a notch, you could even wrap your feet in a plastic bag and follow the wrap with another wrap of a warm towel. Keep it on for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the wraps and file away the softened skin. So, aspirin is also a two in one wonder! You get a wrap and soak in one!

5. Aspirin dandruff cure

Crush 2-3 aspirins and mix up with your shampoo. Wash your hair with this mixture. Remember to let the shampoo soak onto your scalp for a few minutes. Wash as usual. Follow it up for a couple of washes until the dandruffs’ all gone!

Tada! It’s just a little wonder white pill. Try it!

Tips:

• Don’t try any of the above if you are allergic to aspirin.
• Use uncoated aspirin. Can’t make out the difference? Uncoated aspirin looks rough, and not smooth and shiny like coated aspirin. When you touch the uncoated one, white powder sticks to your finger.

All the best!

Did you know, that intake of aspirin actually helps prevent certain kinds of cancer??
