6 Exercises for Eye Lift Minus the Surgery!

Hi ladies,
Spending long hours in front of your laptop or television screens, being hooked to your cell phones, and lack of sleep are some lifestyle habits that lead to droopy eyes. A number of other factors contribute to this problem. No matter how many coats of mascara you put or how sharp the wings of your liner are, drooping eyelids can still break your look. The solution is to exercise and tone the eyelids, to make your eyes look awake and more youthful naturally.

Exercises for Droopy Eyes

1. Sit upright and look straight. Keep your eyes open and look up and down and then to your right and left, without moving your head. Repeat about 10 times.

2. Place two fingers on the sides of your temples and press gently. Open and close your eyes. Repeat for 10 times.

3. While putting your index fingers at the outer corners of your eyes, place your middle fingers on the inner corners of your eyes. As you apply gentle pressure with these fingers, direct your gaze to the ceiling and squint strongly with only your lower eyelids. Keep your upper eyelids wide open. Release the squint and then repeat the exercise 10 times. This will help reduce under-eye bags and shrink puffy lids.

4. Place your fingers on each temple and slightly pull the eyes towards your ears. Open and close your eyes rapidly for 5-10 times.

5. Sit straight. Keep your eyes open and look ahead. Now, raise your eyebrows. At the same time, close the eyelid about halfway. Stop and then lift the eyelids by engaging the muscles of the eyelid and that of underneath the eyebrows. During the second phase of the exercise, you should be able to see the whites of the eyes on top of the pupil. Perform this exercise in front of the mirror till you get accustomed to it. Repeat it 10 times.

6. Begin by lifting your eyebrows and then close your eyes. While your eyebrows are lifted, close your eyes. Lower your eyebrows to finish one rep. Perform one set of 10 repetitions. When you close your eyelids, avoid squeezing or contorting your face. Focus on raising the outer part of each eyebrow.

Apart from these exercises, make it a point to get your beauty sleep. Withdraw from the television and laptop screens whenever possible.

Also, once in a while, make a relaxing mask for your eyes. You can also use cucumber slices and ice packs to relax your eyes.
