7 Homemade Face and Body Packs

Hello girls,

Weddings are the most important part of anyone’s life that every girl wants to look perfect for it. Yes, we all know that every bride goes through her pre-bride treatments to look their best. But, is it necessary to have those facial treatments only at parlours? No, not really. Here are a few tips for brides, particularly those who are busy in a job or anything else and cannot go to the parlour on a regular basis. You may have heard the word unction, which is known as “ubatan” in our language. Do you know the best part of this post? It is that you only need to go to your kitchen to make all these packs mentioned below. Well I got these tips from my mum. So, these are a few secret unction for brides. Not only brides, but any of you girls who like it can also try it. They are all fantastic for any other occasions too.

7 Homemade Face Packs

1. Egg (Ubatan/Unction):

Ingredients:

  • One egg,
  • Half cup milk (not boiled),
  • Half lemon and
  • Dried orange peel.

Procedure:

Firstly, take the white part of the egg in a bowl and add the other ingredients that of half cup milk and half lemon juice. Grind dry orange peel and make it in powdered form. Now add that powder in the mixture about 1-2 spoons. Mix the mixture well and apply on neck, hands and legs. Let the mixture dry one your body and then wash it off. You can use either warm water or milk to wash your skin.

This pack is very effective during winters. Applying this pack 2-3 times in a week in winter season makes skin soft.

2. Chandan (Sandalwood) Pack:

Ingredients:

  • Grinded sandalwood and
  • Half cup milk.

Procedure:

Mix half cup of milk and grinded chandan and apply it on your face. Wait for 15 minutes and/or let it dry. Then wash it off. Use water to wash your face. This pack works great to get rid of pimples .

3. Carrot Pack

Ingredients:

  • One egg,
  • Half cup carrot juice,
  • 2-3 spoon milk and
  • One tea spoon lemon juice.

Procedure:

Take white part of an egg, half cup carrot juice, milk and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix it well and apply on face, hands, neck and legs. Wait till it gets dry and wash off with water. Girls who are having dry skin can add few drops of mustard oil also.

4. Soyabean Pack:

Ingredients:

  • Soaked soyabean seeds.

Procedure:

Grind soaked soyabean seeds and make it in paste form. Now apply on your face. Wait for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water after it gets dry. This pack also reduces the marks left from chicken pox.

5. Onion and Honey Pack:

Ingredients:

  • One onion and
  • 2 spoon honey.

Procedure:

Take one onion, grind it and then extract the juice from it. You can do this by taking a cloth and putting the grinded onion in it. Then squeeze it. Now add honey in that juice and make a mixture. Apply it on face and wash it with warm water after it gets dry.

6. Nutmeg and Milk Pack (Especially for Pimples):

Ingredients:

  • Nutmeg and
  • Milk.

Procedure:

With the help of milk, brake down the nutmeg (jayephal). Apply it on face at night. Leave it for whole night, and wash it in the morning. Use water to wash it. If you will use this pack regularly, you can get rid of acne and pimples. Don’t take milk in a big amount, just enough to help with the nutmeg to be broken down.

7. Gram Flour Pack: (This one is my favourite and I regularly use it).

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 spoons Gram flour (besan),
  • 1 tea spoon Curd,
  • Turmeric and
  • Milk.

Procedure:

Add gram flour, curd and turmeric in a bowl and mix them. Make a paste with the help of milk. Apply it on your face and wash after 15 minutes. It adds a lot glow to your face. You can also make this pack in little more amount to apply it on legs and hands. Must try this one, it is really awesome. 🙂

Things to remember:

  • If you have sensitive skin then firstly apply the pack on a small space on the face or hand and leave it for 15 minutes. To check if you have an allergic reaction or not. If it’s fine for your skin then only go ahead with the whole face.
  • Take fresh ingredients, especially vegetables.
  • If it suits you, do it on regular basis 2-3 times a week to get it’s full advantage. 🙂
