8 One-Ingredient Face Packs for Beautiful and Glowing Skin

Not everyone can whip up amazing DIY recipes to pamper their skin and I am one of them. I am too lazy to make elaborate homemade skin care packs. What works for me are “1-ingredient” face masks which have proven great for my skin as I use them almost every alternate day. Here are 8 of the best one-ingredient face packs that you can also try 🙂

One Ingredient Face Packs

1. Plain Yogurt:

Yogurt contains lactic acid which is known to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles. Yogurt also promotes the skin healing process, works to lighten and fade signs of aging, and gives skin a youthful glow. You can apply yogurt on your face with your fingers and massage it in. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off.

2. Honey:

Honey has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that help purify and clean the skin on your face. Honey has various skin-friendly enzymes and it also helps to retain moisture in the skin. You can directly apply honey on cleansed face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. You can use a wash cloth to remove the honey off your face.

3. Egg Whites:

Separate the egg and use egg whites as a face mask since they contain more protein than the yolk. Egg whites contain protein which helps in the skin-building process. They are rich in minerals and vitamins which nourish the skin, tighten pores and reduce the look of more shallow wrinkles.

4. Banana:

If you have dry skin, then look no further than this wonder fruit. Just mash a banana and apply it on your face. Leave on for 15 minutes and wash it off. Potassium in bananas will provide instant hydrating effect, Vitamin A will help dark spots fade away, and Vitamin B will help with wrinkles.

5. Milk:

You can use full fat milk and apply it on your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Rub it off and then rinse. This is a blessing for those with sensitive skin and will leave your face baby soft! Milk helps cleanse the skin, reduces the size of pores, and has a very soothing effect on the skin and is great respite from those chemical-laden cleansers and face masks.

6. Lemon:

Citric acid in lemon helps to exfoliate the skin and removes all dead skin cells, thereby making lemon an ideal choice for a cleanser. You can rub a lemon wedge directly onto your skin, let it dry and rinse. Lemon can be harsh for some so they can dilute it by adding drops of water with lemon juice or they can follow up the lemon procedure with a soothing mask, such as milk, yogurt, or oatmeal.

7. Dark Chocolate:

Organic dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants and has abundant anti-aging agents. Dark chocolate also help to battle free radical damage that can take its toll on your skin and make it look dehydrated. You can directly apply melted dark chocolate on your face; just make sure it isn’t too hot. Give it some time to cool off and then apply on your face.
Strawberries

8. Strawberries:

Strawberries contain alpha hydroxyl acids that work against free radicals and improve the appearance of skin by helping with the most common signs of aging. You can blend up a strawberry puree and spread it evenly across your face. Wash it off after 15-20 minutes.
