Personally I am a Muslim and hence don’t use bindis. But I really love it and when I am goofing around [sometimes wearing ma’s sari] I use eyeliner to draw on bindis in different shapes. So last day I took some photos and I thought I would share with you guys to give some ideas. Some are good, some are baaaad…Let me know which one is your favorite.

I couldn’t resist not doing a hindi serial evil saas bindi[think vasundhara from bidaai].

I got my eyebrows done for the first time after 26 years of my life. 😀 I only apply bindi when my mother in law comes to stay with us. She likes it on me. 🙂 And lovely and easy styles, I am so gonna try especially the 2nd and 9th one. 🙂

Have experimented a lot with these styles in college…and done what not..lol

now i don’t do much styles in drawing these designs..
I usually get readymade designer packet ones for weddings n saree/salwar type ocassions..

but even now, my cousins go crazy over these things and i draw for them

🙂

My all time favourite is a single white stone wallah bindi..it looks so gracious and elegant esp with a pure white salwar..

dream of getting a single diamond embedded one some day

Poornima, I also end up wearing the single stone bindi’s most of the time. Easy peasy and looks elegant. 🙂

i still remember when i was in college and girls were discussing that which one of us can carry a traditional style indian bindi , and i was selected , well apparently they thought i have a suitable face for bindis. i love tradtional round bindis. they look gorgeous and of course Fatima , i understand being muslim and not able to wear bindis, i remember i used to draw bindis on my forehead with a bright red nail polish when i was a kid / 😛 dont ask how my mom removed it 😛

wow fatima! You are amazing. I am at a loss for words. Those bindis look so breathtakingly beautiful on your face- it’s amazing! I’m so happy I saw your article and pics because we have something in common- we are both muslims who love bindis. I have always loved bindis and up till now I didn’t know of any muslim who did, and I always thought i was a bit odd, but i’m elated to know that there are others like me. I simply love wearing bindis. will definitely try these beautiful styles. Fatima, if you love bindis so much, why don’t you wear them? I am hoping that we can stay in contact – my email ****** I would love to see other pics of you wearing other different styles of bindis.
