9 Bridal Trends of Indian Wedding

Hi ladies,
Indian weddings are always high on fashion and bling factor. Let’s find out some of the biggest bridal trends that will be huge this year at Indian weddings.

1. Cape Lehengas:

Capes were huge in the year 2015 but they are here to stay and are not going anywhere anytime soon. Cape gowns are basking in the glory in the west and in the same way dupatta like capes are making waves in Indian weddings. Dupatta draped as a cape or a cape attached to the choli is easy to carry off for a bride amidst the heavy jewellery and lehenga. The cape with the lehenga gives a contemporary look to the bride.

2. Mix up the dazzle:
Gone are the days when brides were adorned with heavy jewellery from head to toe with equally heavy and blingy lehenga-choli! Nowadays more and more brides are focussing minimalism and subtlety. Choose one hero of your attire, it could be heavy lehenga, designer choli, embellished dupatta or intricate jewellery and keep rest of the things subtle.

3. Floral power:

Floral trend will be high at Indian weddings this year as more and more designers are opting for big-bold motifs and flower prints on lehengas and Anarkalis. If you are having a day wedding then feel free to go the floral way!

4. Light and Pastel Shades:
Maroon and red coloured lehengas don’t sound appealing to a modern Indian bride anymore! Pastel shades are not just restricted to summer dresses anymore, they are totally acceptable colours as your bridal wear too. You can easily choose to go for a wedding lehenga in pastel shades with heavy dupatta and jewellery to compliment it.

5. Ombre Trend:

Ombre is also one such trend that made waves last year but has now come back again! If you don’t want to go the traditional way and want to do something out of the box for your wedding then you can go for ombre inspired lehengas. If you are not comfortable with it then you can try ombre inspired outfits in your pre-wedding functions too.

6. Move over Gold Jewellery Pieces:
Gold metal is still the most sought after choice for Indian weddings but modern brides are opting for more classic pieces and are looking at other metals and different kinds of jewelleries to wear on their wedding day.

7. Embroidered Shoes:

Beautiful embroidery is not restricted to clothes anymore. Embroidered shoes are getting quite popular nowadays. They are not only versatile but also look really pretty with all kinds of outfits.

8. Silk and Velvet are Back:
These are traditional fabrics that are making a huge comeback this year. This is like going back to basics. You can also try silk or velvet lehengas or incorporate their pieces in your wedding ensemble.

9. Crown Style Maang Tika:
