The movie saw on-screen debut of Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Manish Malhotra and Shiraz Siddiqui were the costume designers and the outfits had a very young and rich vibe to them. They were Bollywood’s answer to High School Musical. Alia who played the rich, teen brat was seen in some of the most high-end designer brands and was a visual treat. She even carried a Birkin Bag with her!

2. Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani

The movie had so many fashion moments after the interval. Be it Deepika Padukone’s complete transformation from a nerd to a stylish diva or Kalki’s transformation from a tomboy to a vivacious bride, the movie had it all. Movie gave us some real outfit goals and everyone wanted to replicate them. One of them being the blue sari that Deepika donned in the song, “Badtameez Dil”!

3. Tanu Weds Manu Returns

We are habitual of seeing Kangna in high end clothes by some of the biggest brands in the country. But when she donned a desi diva look and wore vibrant and colourful sarees and suits, she had us go wow.

4. Ram Leela

The movie was so grand and the visual appealing was simply stunning. Deepika’s curvaceous body with a surfboard-like stomach and those vivacious Lehenga Cholis definitely made for a lethal fashion combination. Even the jewellery that Deepika has worn in the entire movie, especially the Chandbali earrings were simply breathtaking.

Sonam Kapoor is the ultimate fashion icon of Bollywood. She almost never fails to live up to the mark. Sonam’s eccentric, colourful yet casual clothes definitely left an impact. Sonam’s funky jewellery and accessories were also made for great fashion goals. I forgot, the movie also had Fawad Khan! Isn’t that reason enough to watch this movie?

6. Dil Dhadakne Do

Although the movie did not do quite well at the box office but the characters were truly flawless. Everyone looked so polished in the movie in every frame. From Priyanka, Anushka to Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar, they all looked like a hot mess in every mundane situation in the movie.

If you want to update your ethnic wardrobe and would like some fashion inspiration then go no further. This movie had some really wow when it came to dressing up in ethnic wear. Alia really nailed in all her looks. From her plain simple kurtis to colourful long skirts, she was her gracious self in every outfit.

8. Bajirao Mastani

The movie was a period drama which starred the most adorable couple of Bollywood: Deepika and Ranveer! The movie came at the right time when the marriage season was going to kick start. Deepika’s glorious and dreamy attires were replicated in almost every wedding. They were so visually appealing yet wearable and everyone wanted to wear them. This movie definitely gave us some real outfit goals.

9. Tamasha
