One of the awesome perks of being a VIB rouge member at Sephora is that you get the privilege of trying out products you would otherwise would have not for numerous reasons; either for reason of a hefty price tag or for simply being a product which might have not been on the radar for you. Recently, I got a few generous sized deluxe sample by redeeming my points from the popular brand Algenist. With skin care items, it’s really a hit or miss hence I loved being able to give a product a go before deciding whether it was worth the splurge for the full size ; and a splurge it indeed is.
Read on to know more about my thought on the Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti Ageing cream.

My Expereince with Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-aging Cream:
I have been using this generous-sized deluxe sample for a little more than a month and have enough to last me another week hence I can say I have thoroughly assessed this product and weighed all the pros and cons.
Packaging:
It comes in a tub packaging which I am not a fan of due to hygienic reasons. I usually prefer products in a pump or squeeze tube as the minimal contact with air also helps the ingredients remain stable.
Texture/ Consistency:
This product has a thick whipped consistency like Greek Yogurt. It spread easily and literally melts into your skin upon contact. A little bit goes a long way and I use this cream everyday as a part of my night time skin care regiment.
Feel on Skin & Results:
This cream does not feel heavy on the skin at all nor does it give a super greasy or sticky feel. It gives a light dewiness to the skin, hence I only use this at night time and not under my makeup.
With continuous use of this product, I have definitely seen visible improvements in my skin. My skin is usually dry, dehydrated and dull. I haven’t suffered from a single dry patch on my skin since I started using this cream. My skin has become more supple and soft.. I definitely saw improvement in the elasticity of my skin. My skin truly felt firmer and toned. I am still in my mid 20s so I cannot support the claims of these reducing wrinkles. I have not seen any reduction in acne marks, it did not even out or my skin tone but it never claimed to do any of that.
Fragrance:
This cream is not fragrance-free. It has a very light fresh scent which I like and it is not bothersome or overwhelming.
Overall, yes I am truly impressed with this cream. The helps my skin feel more youthful and supple and firm. The only thing that hinders me from purchasing a full size of this is a whopping $110 price tag. I am not sure I will be spending so much on 1 item but if I had to recommend this cream I most definitely will.

• Jar packaging, which I do not like for hygienic reason.

Woah! That’s sooo expensive but such a great product for someone who can spend that much and whose prime concern is aging skin. Feels like greek yogurt..:P
