Aroma Magic Cuticle Softener-Review

Aroma Magic Cuticle Softener-Review

This winter, the climate in Chennai is much cooler than usual. Though it is no where comparable to Delhi, it is higher than our usual. I came across an issue. It is nothing but rough cuticle. Also, I have been using too much of nail polish remover lately. I don’t know the exactly cause as I have not faced it before. Thank God I don’t have brittle nails but my nails have very mild yellow stains now 🙁 I searched for an exclusive cuticle product and came across cuticle oils. When I saw a cuticle softener cream from Aroma magic, I looked for its review in IMBB. To my surprise, I couldn’t find a review but had read comments about this product. I was little desperate. I picked it up immediately.

My Take on Aroma Magic Cuticle Softener:

I wish AM comes up with some difference in packaging. I am glad they have taken a first step towards it starting with their face washes. This is a white tube pack with a red lid. This looks exactly like my under eye gel tube and under eye cream tube. As I use this cream and under eye cream at night, I get confused at times. Though it is a minor issue, I find this cuticle softener tube based on their smell. Their fragrance is a big letdown for people with sensitive nose. The scent is purely herbal. I could find the scent of Clove dominating the scent of garlic. It is not overpowering. I am okay with it as long as the product works for me.

It is a lightweight white cream. I usually apply this on my nails and it surrounding area along with cuticle region. It gets absorbed pretty quickly. I didn’t feel any sort of greasiness at all. I was able to see very good difference on my toes than on finger nails. It appeared soft as before in just a week usage. Slight discoloration on my nails has also been removed. I believe that is because of lemon. I don’t think it has increased the strength of nails even to a slight degree. As I don’t have brittle nails as of now, I have no complaints in that regard but it claims to help  brittle nails which I don’t agree with.

Pros of Aroma Magic Cuticle Softener:

• Softenes rough cuticle area and area around nails.
• Removes mild discolorations.
• Affordable.
• Herbal product. I basically like AM products especially their face packs.
• Non greasy lightweight cream.
• Hygienic tube packing.
• Suitable for all skin types.

Cons of Aroma Magic Cuticle Softener:

• Similar packing.
• Didn’t see any change in nails except for discoloration removal.
• Fragrance may be an issue for some but I won’t say it is a con for me.

I am not using it quite regularly. Mainly because I keep forgetting about it but I will go back to this whenever I find any roughness. In the mean time, I am trying to regularize its usage. It gave me what I expected. It made my cuticle soft also removed mild discoloration. If you want it for the same purpose, go ahead start using it as a preventive measure. If you are looking for a nail strengthening product, this is not for you as I didn’t feel any difference.

As I obsessed with nail paints for the past couple of months, I will be repurchasing this as a preventive measure till I find something better.
