Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Oil Review

Directions To Use:
Add few drops to a tablespoon of water and apply to hair roots and scalp morning and night. Can also apply after shampooing.

Price:
INR 180 (not sure, bought this some time back) for 15 ml.

Active Ingredients:
Pure essential oils of ylang-ylang, cedar wood and rosemary.

What is Ylang-Ylang Oil:
ylang ylang

Ylang-ylang is an essential oil which is very important for various uses. Ylang-ylang oil is extracted from the small beautiful flower by the process of steam distillation. It has a very exotic and floral fragrance that is liked by almost all people.  The smell of it is very pleasant. It is a highly valued essence both in perfumery for the power of its delicate flowery note, and in aromatherapy for its action on the nervous system in all symptoms derived from stress, such as hypertension, tachycardia and sleeplessness.  Due to extreme scent, it has calming properties. It stimulates the hair growth largely, stops early hair loss and also controls the sebum production and stimulates its effect. Ylang-ylang oil is extracted from the flowers which are freshly picked and the process is completed by steam distillation.

Cedarwood Oil:
cedarwood

Cedarwood oil benefits the skin by its sedating ability which relieves itching. Its astringent action is great for acne, oily skin, as well as for hair and dandruff.  It has a calming and soothing effect on the mind and is of great help in conditions associated with anxiety and nervous tension.  Cedarwood oil’s great benefit lies in its ability to calm and sooth nerves. It relieves skin and hair problems and is important in easing conditions of a respiratory nature.

Rosemary Oil:
Rosemary

Rosemary oil is present as an ingredient in a lot of shampoos. It is known to stimulate hair follicles which results in accelerated hair growth and the hair even appears strong. This oil is good in prevention of hair loss. It can even help with problems of gray hair. Majority of people suffering from baldness are using rosemary oil. The oil is good for dry skin of the head and it is also good for dandruff.

So, I believe this stimulate oil is a wonderful concoction of oils which are great, especially for preventing hair loss and hair regrowth.

Packaging:

The oil comes in a small brown-coloured glass bottle which is a typical packaging for all Aroma Magic essential oils. It has a plastic cap/stopper on top which helps in dispensing the oil drops.

My Take on Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Oil:

I have always liked Aroma Magic skin care and keep buying/trying its new products often.  I saw this “Stimulate Hair Oil” at a counter and read those 3 magical words- “ Prevents Hair Loss” 😀 . I didn’t need any more reasons to purchase this. I was accompanied by a friend and she has same hair fall issues and she bought this too.

Aroma Magic Stimulate Oil is a clear/transparent oil; is lightweight and not thick like most hair oils. It has a strong fragrance which is though not unpleasant.  I cannot really identify it, but it does smell like most aromatherapy oils. It is undoubtedly the kind of fragrance which relaxes the mind.  I use the oil as indicated, by adding a few drops in 1-2 tablespoons of water.  Applying it can be a little tricky as it has water and it’s flowy, so I always use a cotton swab, dip in this and apply on the scalp.

On immediate application, I feel it calms, cools and soothes my scalp. Since it is diluted with water, it does not make hair sticky/weighed down. I find this product is especially good for me. I rarely use hair oils as I feel that I loose a lot of hair after a head massage; probably I have weak hair roots.

I have been using this stimulate oil since 3-4 months and I do notice a slight reduction in hair loss. I get scalp bumps in every 2-3 months and since the time I have started using this, I have seen that they heal/settle faster; and it even claims that it removes hair infection.  While my experience with this oil has been just fine, my friend who purchased this along with me swears by this. She suffered from bad hair fall problem and she has noticed that this product has really benefitted her a lot.

I would suggest that if you have problematic scalp, hair fall issues too, you should give this a shot. I can’t assure you that it will give you great results, but even if it delivers slight results, then it would be great for you. Plus, it has no side effects like alcohol-based hair regrowth products and it is not very expensive.

Pros of Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Oil:

  • Has a soothing, calming effect on the scalp.
  • Helps heal scalp bumps faster.
  • Lightweight oil.
  • Nonsticky and does not make my hair badly weighed down like most oils.
  • This would be good for oily scalp.
  • When used regularly/religiously , it does reduce hair fall.
  • Very relaxing fragrance.
  • Convenient-to-use packaging.
  • One bottle will last easily for 3-4 months or more.
  • Easily available.
  • Fairly priced.

Cons of Aroma Magic Stimulate Blended Oil:

  • I cannot notice any hair regrowth because of this.
  • Can be used only for hair, cannot be used like other essential oils on the skin.
  • This does not provide any nourishment to hair like most oils.
