Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing with AromaMagic

Blossom Kochhar’s Aromamagic: One of my favourite brand

All the beautiful ladies of the oily skin club this is for you. I recently purchased these three products which work fab for oily skin. I am totally loving this. I also splurged on a lot of other aromamagic products. I like this brand because everything by this brand is so gentle. But please don’t expect any aroma. I guess you will have to buy her essential oils for aromatherapy. These are just regular products with similar packaging and almost similar quantities and price.  I am not so happy with packaging though .So commonplace.
Mint cleanser for Oily Skin: Rs 95 for 50 grams
Aroma Magic Mint cleanser for oily skin
What the pack says: A 100% soap free cleanser. Contains light non oily anti bacterial active ingredients for rapid and effective cleansing of oily and blemished skin. Removes dirt and make up. Leaving skin fresh and tingling clean. Excellent for oily and seborrhoea condition (means excessive sebum production)

Hydrogel Aromamagic Active ingredients: natural extracts if peppermint, spearmint, clove, pineapple, neem, garlic and pure essential oils of juniper, rose, ylang ylang and rosemary

I had to pick this up as it carries that oily skin tag. The above description on the pack is exactly what I feel! Every word written on the pack is true. I love mint flavour and this product has a very cooling effect and has a strong aroma of peppermint oil. It does not lather but is in a cream form.

What I love about this product :
  • The fresh strong minty/ clovy smell
  • Extremely cooling effect on skin
  • Need a 1 rupee coin size amount
  • Dilutes on wet face
  • Shiny creamy texture which may feel oily on hands but mixes with a few drops of water
  • You will be surprised that this cream cleanser leaves skin squeaky clean even on oily skin.
  • Removes light make up from skin (keep it away from eyes as it has strong peppermint/spearmint/ clove)
  • Skin feels super clean. Oil free but still so moisturised at the same time
  • The aroma soothes senses after a long day(aromatherapy)
  • Definitely good for oily skin for removing oil
  • Comes off easily with wet facial sponge
  • I love the ingredients
  • Does not break me out
  • Rating :star: :star::star::star::star:
  • I really wish it was more than 50 grams.

Aromatic Skin Toner: Non Alcoholic Skin Toner

What I love about this product:
  • Balm form
  • Quick absorption
  • Smooth texture
  • Oily skin needs moisture so this is the perfect non clogging moisture for skin
  • Application for dry skin as well mentioned on the pack by clubbing it with other products
  • Thick on application but dries in seconds and vanishes on the skin(it may feel balmy on contact with water. So I wear it at night only)
  • Feels like a protective layer on skin
  • Not sticky after application
  • Need around coin size
  • Does not break me out
  • I just use my palms to pat it on skin
  • Great alternative to lotions and moisturisers
  • You may need to use fingers to dip into the gel. That’s the catch.

These three can be used for oily skin as their cleansing toning moisturising routine morning and evening. Will last for 20 to 25 days then. Cleanser may finish soon though.

  1. Nice post for the oily club!!

I too dont like the packaging of AromaMagic products…I find them kind of cheap…i mean if ur not aware of the brand then u wud not give it a second glance at any store..infact when I introduced some of my friends to aromamagic, their first reaction was…is it a good brand? we’ve seen these products but never bothered abt it 🙂

    1. though this is not meant for me, I will surely share this with a friend of mine who has oily skin..already shared ur facepack post !

  2. I have’nt tried Aromamagic pdts in a long time now, guess its time to make a haul :), HD, hows the Kaya hairloss dt working for u?

    1. Hey Renuca…I rem I have to review that for you and I will do it in some time….just too too busy at work so not getting the time…

It did work well for me…hairloss has reduced considerably…I’ll surely review it in this month..

Did u find aroma magic products near ur plc?

  3. i m also using aromamagic mint cleanser these days.i have combination skin and it does not dry out my skin.very gentle product.nice & detailed review neha.thx

  4. i can only imagine how helpful this must be for those with oily skin. i recently got my first aroma magic products because they work excellently for rati and both of us have dry skin. the almond moisturising lotion is a dream and the almond under eye cream sorted out my allergic, dry and flaky skin around my eyes just with TWO applications, you heard it right! i also got a lip balm and grapefruit face wash for free with the lotion. i tossed the balm in the bin coz it just made my lips oily and i ended up feeling like i’ve eaten a dozen puris. yet to try the grapefruit face wash, i’ve heard it’s pretty good.

if there’s anyone out there with dry skin, please post your skin care routine, it will really help me.

          1. yeah it’s actually exciting. and since you have more experience with products, i’ll meekly follow you around and pick up whatever has worked well for you. the mac mineralize skinfinish is next on my list from your list. 😛

    but anyways
    thanks a lot for review

  6. Thanks so much for this useful review for oily skin (I am part of that club). Tomorrow itself I am going to buy the Hydrogel, yesterday I bought the grapefruit face wash and the almond eye cream (for night) and eye gel (for day). Going to try the face wash tomorrow. Does the Hydrogel make the skin oily after about an hour or so? It looks very much like a cream.

    1. THE PICTURES OF THE GEL AND CLEANSER HAVE GOT SWAPPED
      SORRY
THE FIRST PIC IS THE GEL
THE LAST PIC IS THE CLEANSER

  7. hi neha, thx a ot fot the post!!! going to get all the 3 three by today itself… 😉 bt does this hydrogel super greasy on the skin??? ?:-)

  8. hey!!….3 step system for oily skin!!….thanks a lot Neha!!….I will surely try out the toner and the hydrogel… Can u use the hydrogel in day or does it become oily after a while?

    1. HEY JOMOL SUSH AND Madhu
the gel is like a balm
and it looks invisible on skin
but if you sweat or splash water it will become gel like again
      try it ower night
and it not at all like a cream…it like a thicker aloe vera gel texture

  9. hey neha,

i think u might have written reviews of VLCC defence range too.

  11. Thank you so much for this review, before this i was so sceptical to try out any brand other than the usual but I took the plunge after reading this particular review and I love it!!
