Audrey’s Fan Brush Review

Audrey’s Fan Brush Review

Hello Ladies,

Some months ago, I watched a video on Youtube, in which a lady was singing peons about this thing known as fan brush. She was practically ecstatic over that tiny thing that I had barely given a thought to, before. So, I decided to get one. I went online and ordered the cheapest one that was available and that was Audrey’s Fan Brush. I owned some of Audrey’s products and knew them to be not just value for money, but good. So, I did not think twice before ordering it. Here’s how it fared.

Name of the Product:

Audrey’s Fan Brush (Model No: MUB-7).

Price:

Rs. 65

Product Description:

Audrey’s Fan Brush is soft yet full. It is more than a blender or spreader. This brush effectively “fans” away products making it a must have for clean up and removing eye makeup fall out.  The bristles are made of Taklon which has microscopic pock marks that. resembles natural hair.

My Experience with Audrey’s Fan Brush:

The brush has a black, wooden handle to which the bristles are attached via a small metal casing. The bristles are brown in colour. The brush is about 16 cm in length (the bristles included) and the bristles are about 3 cm in length, just the perfect size for a brush, neither too long nor too short. The handle being rounded make for ease in gripping.

The bristles are extremely soft. They are made of something called Taklon, about which I don’t know much , just that it is a synthetic fiber and not any kind of animal fur. The colour of the bristles is a light brown with reddish tint. The bristles are extremely soft, very smooth on the skin. Running it across the skin would feel like running a feather, it’s that soft. They are packed quite tightly at the base which loosens towards the end, which gives it a Japanese fan-like shape.  I have washed the brush a lot many times and there has never ever been any shedding.

I use this brush for dusting off excess eye shadow or eye shadow fall out, but as I am not a frequent eye makeup wearer, this does not happen very often; however, I am very fond of wearing powders, both compact and loose as well as a hint of blush. So, I use it to brush off excess powder. I like my blush very sheer and I love to use it to sheer out my blush. It works perfectly for these things.

Sometimes, when I am willing to work at a leisurely pace, I love to polish my foundation using this brush. The effect, I tell you, is mesmerizing. My face gets a radiant, healthy glow but it’s too much work so, I reserve this for special occasions. It cannot really be used for any other purpose like highlighting because it is very extremely light against the skin. Now, this is the only fan brush I have ever used, so I don’t really know what to compare it with, but for the price it comes at, I think it is worth a try.

Pros of Audrey’s Fan Brush:

  • Animal hair is not used.
  • Anti-bacterial.
  • So smooth, it wouldn’t scratch a baby’s bottom.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Does not shed bristles on washing.
  • Easily available.

Cons of Audrey’s Fan Brush:

  • None that I can think of.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.
