Hearing about “anti-aging skin care,” I used to automatically think “products for those age 40 years old and up.” However, I learned that whether you have or haven’t yet experienced signs of aging skin – fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, dullness – and no matter your age, it’s never too early or too late to begin using anti-aging skin care products. My Experience with Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Moisturizing Cleanser:
Since I have oily and occasionally acne-prone skin, the words “hydrating or moisturising” scare the heck out of me as I believe it can wreck havoc on my skin type. But because I love Aveeno as a brand, I gathered some courage to try out this “moisturizing” cleanser from Aveeno’s new skin care line. Aveeno already has a “Positively Ageless” skin care line and this new one is called “Absolutely Ageless.”
Packaging: This Aveeno cleanser comes in a nice and sturdy bottle with a pump. The bottle is off-white and purple in colour and has some pretty purple flowers on it. It looks so gorgeous. The quality of the bottle or the pump is by no means flimsy or cheap feeling. It’s really nice and the pump has a lock mechanism as well which makes it travel friendly.
Texture: The cleanser is a clear, gel-like formulation which is a little bit runny. It does not feel greasy or oily at all like most hydrating products do. My skin tends to be oily, so I was happy to find that this cleanser is great at hydrating my skin, yet is light and non-greasy. I was surprised that my skin felt less oily after using it which is very rare.
Smell: Now, comes the feature I really like – the fragrance!! It has a beautiful mild floral fragrance which gives an illusion of smelling like a bouquet of flowers. I kid you not, the fragrance is totally mesmerizing. All the products in this new line by Aveeno have the same fragrance which does not last on the skin for long. It is neither overpowering nor does it irritate the skin.
Quality: Frankly speaking, I am quite impressed with this cleanser. My skin has changed a bit since the time I shifted to Canada as its winter here and the temperature goes down to almost -30, but this product has not stripped my skin off the natural oils, nor has it made my skin greasy. I am thoroughly enjoying this cleanser and use it day and night as a part of my skin care routine.
