My Experience with Avene Hydrance Optimale Rich Hydrating Cream:

It comes packed in this lovely basic white tube with a screw cap. It is the consistency of semi-thin cream. It has a mild powdery fragrance. The texture is quite smooth and it gets absorbed in my normal to dry skin so quickly. It does not leave any residue behind and leaves my skin very soft.

Avene Hydrance Optimale Rich Hydrating Cream details

This cream is for dry to very dry skin, but I feel it is not enough for me now that the temperature is around 1-2 degrees. My skin craves for more hydration. Especially when I use it at night, my skin does not look hydrated in the morning, but when I was using it back home in India, when it was not this cold, I was waking up with fresh and soft skin with no dryness. Here in London winter, I am absolutely loving the Embryolisse cream. I would rate both of them at pretty much the same levelm but I just feel the latter is better for my skin in these sub zero temperatures.

Avene cream is also hypoallergenic and non comedogenic. It would not clog your pores and would not cause allergies to you. You know how I see this cream is like a good basic moisturiser that would never fail you. And since it for sensitive skin, anyone can use it. Makeup artists can make this as a part of their kit. It is like good ol’ stuff from French pharmacy that you can rely on. I am almost finished using this, but I also know that this is one cream that I would keep going back to. It has never caused any problems to my skin.

Avene Hydrance Optimale Rich Hydrating Cream

I have used it in slightly cold weather in india, used it on air plane, used it under my makeup and now in these extreme temperatures. Especially under the makeup, it provides a good hydrated base for your makeup to go on smoothly. This is good stuff. This also contains Avene Thermal spring water (main ingredient) and glycerin that are both good for skin. Imagine the amount of hydration it gives to your skin. Mineral oil is listed as one of the second ingredient but that you would find in most French Pharmacy brands. It has never cause any issues to me, but just to let you know for review purposes.
