Avon Simply Pretty Eye Defining Pencil Review
First things first, I have become an ardent fan and follower of IMBB now and I seriously feel that I am just addicted to it. I check the blog almost 12-15 times a day, thank you all for giving such a heartfelt welcome by acknowledging and appreciating my reviews, all this gives me a boost to write more and more.
Now coming to the product which I will be reviewing today, it is Avon’s simply pretty eye defining pencil. I do a lot of catalogue shopping, sometimes it turns out to be good and sometimes not so good but that doesn’t refrain me from buying 😛
What the catalogue says about the product?
Provides rich colour and smudge proof
Metallic Blue, Brown, Green and Black. I got the green and the brown for me.
This is the green one
And this is the brown one
Rs119 for 1.3gms, although it’s on offer this month so I got each for Rs 69 only.
My take on the product:
Eye pencils have always attracted me as I feel they give dramatic effect to the eyes and can be worn easily by anyone to accentuate the looks of the eyes. These sleek pencils from Avon are nicely pigmented. I use them over my lash line and have to give 3-4 strokes to get the real colour. It doesn’t come that nicely on the waterline as these pencils are a little hard for that sensitive area. These don’t glide on smoothly yet are not too hard. The staying power is okay which is around 3-4 hours after which one needs to do a touch up as they leave a faded colour. Also, they don’t smudge too much though the company claims them to be smudge proof. These pencils did not sting my eyes (and I have very sensitive ones), so I can safely say it is a good quality product.
It comes off easily without the need of a makeup remover, just two strokes of wet tissue and they are gone.

Pros of Avon simply pretty eye defining pencil:
1. Nice pigmented shades.
2. Reasonably priced if one collects them during offers.
3. No need to use a makeup remover.
Cons of Avon simply pretty eye defining pencil:
1. Needs to be obtained through a representative, availability might be an issue.
2. Ingredients list is not mentioned.
3. Smudges a bit.
4. Little hard for the waterline.
5. Needs to be sharpened so you got to carry the sharpener along every time you want to use these
6. Staying power is not good.
Considering the price at which they are being offered this month, I think they are worth a try. Nothing very extra ordinary about their staying power or the pigmentation. An average product by Avon.
Will I repurchase?
No, I am contented with the two shades I got. Will try other brands instead.
