Baba Ramdev Divya Kesh Taila Review

Baba Ramdev Divya Kesh Taila Review

Hi IMBBians,

Monsoon is here and so is the ubiquitous problem of hairfall . I am sure each one of us is facing this problem during the rainy seasons, well, I am one of those victims . Though I love rains to the core, but it does take a toll on my skin and especially my hair. I have heavy hairfall during these days and no product seems to be combating my problem. Still the optimist in me keeps trying different products just in the hope that someday sooner or later, my hairfall would reduce and I would have thick, shiny, lusturous hair :methinks:

I picked up Baba Ramdev’s oil on the recommendation of one of my friends who had nice experience with the product. So today, I am going to review Baba Ramdev’s Divya Kesh Taila. Although, Baba Ramdev’s products have never disappointed me, but this oil couldn’t do wonders which I had expected. Let’s take a look at its review.

Baba Ramdev Divya Kesh Taila Review

Ingredients:

Eclipta alba, Centella asiatica,Emblica officinalis,Rubia cordifolia,Symplocos racemosa,Sida cordifolia
Curcuma longa,Berberis aristata,Mesua ferrea,Callicarpa macrophylla,Glycyrrhiza glabra,Nelumbo nucifera ,Hemidesmus indicus,Pandanus odorotissimus,Cyperus scariousus,Acacia Arabica :stars:

What’ s On the Bottle?

It is an ayurvedic medicine and is used to combat hair fall, prevents premature greying of hair and is also helpful in alopecia.

Price/ Quantity/ Packaging:

INR 70 for 100 ml. It comes in a brown translucent plastic bottle with a red cap. It doesn’t have a stopper at the top and owing to it’s big mouth, one always ends up taking more quantity and in the process of putting it back, spoils the bottle and the things around, quite a messy affair :yikes:

Second

My Experience with Divya Kesh Taila:

Well, I have been using this oil for the last one-and-half months and I don’t find any considerable improvement in my hair-fall yet. As I don’t have grey hair, so I can’t really comment as to how it works on them. The oil is thick and is quite sticky, so washing it off requires oodles of shampoo. The colour of the oil is reddish brown and the smell is one of the worsts I have ever come across. It smells of “cow dung” and many other things, which I could not really make out; in short, the smell is quite nauseating.

I used to apply this oil every alternate day and wash off the next morning. It hasn’t really helped me in any way, neither have my hair become silky, shiny, darker nor has the hairfall stopped. May be one requires consistent efforts (3 months or so) with this oil to see the results. For me, it was a failure.

Third

Pros of Divya Kesh Taila:

1.  It comes from the trusted brand “Patanjali.”
2.  It has all herbal ingredients which are good for hair.

Cons of Divya Kesh Taila:

1.  It didn’t help me to combat hair-fall.
2.  The smell is horrible and may make some people nauseate.
3.  The mouth is too big, there should be a stopper at the top to control the amount of oil one wants.
4.  Packaging is tacky, could have been much better.

IMBB Rating:

3 out 5.

Final Verdict:

Well, the oil comes from a very trusted brand and most of the other products of Baba Ramdev have really impressed me, but this one didn’t do any thing for my hair-fall. The oil has all natural herbs and ingredients, which are excellent for the hair treatment. Again, results may vary from person to person as my friend did reduce her hair-fall problem, but along with this, she was also on medication, and may be that made all the difference.

Will I  Repurchase?

No, I will not. If someone has a solution to the hair-fall problem , do share with me.

Luv,

Shivani

  5. I was thinking of buying this, ur review came in time Shivani. I had used Parachute hair loss therapy a year ago and it had worked for me to a little extent. But I dint like the smell and I have not tried it again. now maybe even I need to try olive oil hehe :methinks:

  6. My bhabhi had a similar problem few months back. One of her friends asked her to use neem oil on a regular basis.Another thing she said was to boil some neem leaves in a cupful of water, strain it n use it to rinse hair after shampooing.Though the hairfall hasnt been arrested completely,my bhabhi is losing lesser hair as compared to the time when she was not using neem oil.Hope this helps..

  9. Hi. I use patanjali orange face wash n it is very nice. It ideal for oily skin.now I came to know that it contains the preservative dizolidinyl urea which is not harmful but it release formaldehyde after foaming which is irritating to skin and carcinogenic. If concentration of dizolidinyl urea is 0.5% then its not harmful. Please tell me,how much concentration is there in this face wash and whether it is safe or not? I m waiting for reply.

  10. I heard somewhere that we must heat small quantities of coconut oil castor and almond oil and massage it well and shampoo after sometime, it makes hair thick and strong over a period of time. Apart from external products good intake of nutritious food is very important for hair growth and routine yoga exercises is also very useful.

Methi Coriander can be consumed as well can be used externally.

Egg white henna and curds also give hair a voluminous look and soft texture.
