Banana Boat Sport Performance Sunscreen Lip Balm Review

We all know that sunscreen is a very important part of our skin care routine and sunscreen protects our skin not just from sun but ageing too and we religiously use sunscreens all over our body, but sometimes we do forget to use sun protection on our lips. And now with summers finally here, I was searching for a good lip balm with high sun protection.  Thus, when I came across this lip balm, considering my good experience with Banana Boat Ultra Mist Sport Performance Spray SPF 50+, I didn’t think twice before picking this little stick. 😀

My Experience with Banana Boat Sport Performance Sunscreen Lip Balm:

The lip balm comes in a simple cardboard box packing.  The tube is also sealed, you have to twist the stick to open the seal. And it looks really cute with the eye catching orange shade. 😀

The size is similar to Maybelline baby lips, but the tube is sleeker than the latter.  The packaging is different and is similar to the chapstick. The cap is small and it has a ring at the bottom to twist up the product. My tube twisted up and down fine for the first few uses, but now, it doesn’t retract back down. 🙁 So be careful about the quantity you twist up to avoid wastage as it is not going back down.

The lip balm does not have any flavor or smell to it and does not have any sunscreen i.e. chemical taste. Instead it tastes sweet to me. 😛 Also, the lip balm does not have color or tint, so can be used by both the genders. I make my hubby use it too. 😉

Though the summers here are very short, but the sun is very very harsh at this time, and one tends to get sun-burned easily. The lip balm does protect my lips and keep them moisturized too. I have very dry lips but this kept my lips moisturized for long. I did not find any need to reapply it for 7-8 hours, isn’t that impressive ? 😀

For one to two swipes, it feels fine, but will feel a bit heavy on the lips if you apply more than that. It does not give any shine to the lips and does not appear clumpy, but your lips appear soft and smooth. Perfect for layering under the lipsticks. I sometimes apply it over my matte lipsticks as well because it does not make them appear shiny. 😀

But just one con here, if you keep it in your pockets, the stick tends to melt. 🙁 But, I did not have this issue when I kept it in my bag.

Overall, I am really loving this product. It works well and at this price, there is nothing to complain. 😀 It is even cheaper than our beloved baby lips.

Of course yes. 😀 I would surely repurchase this, this is staple in my kit now. And I would recommend this to everyone too.
