Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Fragrance Mist Review

Let’s go to Hawaii…:P  That is what the new collection from Bath and Body works screams! This collection was specially launched for Spring 2015 in the first week of March has the following fragrances:

• Waikiki Beach Coconut – A bright blend of fresh coconut, saltwater breeze and sun-bleached woods.
• Oahu Coconut Sunset – A sexy blend of coconut blossoms and exotic tiger lily warmed by molten amber.
• Maui Mango Surf – A tropical trio of ruby mango, guava nectar and coral hibiscus.
• Kauai Lei Flower – A perfect harmony of sun-kissed plumeria and creamy coconut milk.

Hawaii Passionfruit Kiss – An exotic pairing of passionfruit and papaya blossoms wrapped in creamy macadamia.

And as you can see in the photo, I picked up quite a few travel-sized body lotions and fragrance mists from this collection. All of the products looked so cute and attractive, that I was unable to pick just one and ended up hauling quite a bit.

If you are thinking how possibly I might use up so many products, well, I might not. I might give away some of them to my sister. Aren’t sisters just amazing for sharing? Now, I am using each item for a couple of days to gauge its performance and I intend to bombard you all with my reviews of these lovely looking products over the next few days. Stay tuned 🙂  So, first up is Maui Mango Surf Fragrance Mist.

Top Notes: Ruby Mango, Polynesian Tangerine, Guava Nectar, White Pineapple.
Mid Notes: Mango Mai Tai, Sun-bleached Driftwood, Coral Hibiscus, Hawaiian Lily, Pacific Blue Accord.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Fragrance Mist:

Packaging:  The fragrance mist comes in the typical Bath and Body Works packaging of a sturdy transparent bottle with a nozzle spray. The bottle has a light bluish tint. Personally, I would have liked a more yellow/orange bottle for something which has Mango as the top note.  I have the travel-sized bottle which is indeed convenient for traveling. It is also available in a bigger 8 fl oz variant.

Fragrance:  I believe that nothing spells the onset of Indian summer as strongly as a mango does 😛 And I was excited to try this fragrance out as soon as I laid my hands on it. Well, I was disappointed a wee bit as this is not all mango. It is a mix of mango, pineapple and citrus, but whatever it is, it surely smells good and does remind you of summers (okay, not the sweltering and sweaty hot summer, but the nice laid-back, vacation-y and eating mangoes type summer). 😛

In short, this is an out-and-out fruity fragrance. Those of you who love fruity, flirty, fresh fragrances will surely love this.

Performance:  The lasting power of this mist is not too long and I typically spray it on my body as well as clothes to make it last longer. It tends to stay on my clothes longer than my body. You may try layering this with other products from the same fragrance line to make the scent last longer.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Fragrance Mist:

• Nice fruity fragrance.
• Sturdy and attractive packaging.
• Does not stain clothes
• Does not irritate the skin.
• Not tested on animals.

Cons of Bath and Body Works Maui Mango Surf Fragrance Mist:

• Poor staying power.
• Some of you may find the fragrance too strong.

Well, if mango is your favorite fruit, then please go ahead and try this fragrance.  I have already hauled quite a few fragrances and need to finish those before repurchasing anything.
