Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream Review

Hello Lovely IMBBians,

I am really glad to start my New Year by writing reviews for IMBB.  I hope I come up with more reviews and DIYs. After my first review on Sephora Flashy Liner, I am here with my second review about a Bath and Body Works product, “True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream with Shea Butter,” a must-have for winters.  Without further ado, let’s get started:

My Experience with Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream:

I have mixed feelings for this product due to its price, but the only reason I liked it was exclusively for its “thick” consistency, so you do not need to use a lot of it. Its basically an after spa or post exfoliation/scrub cream, but it can also be used as a lip balm, cracked-heel softener, cuticle softener, and yes, a regular body cream.

Body Cream

For me, it is best used at night as a foot cream before I go to bed, mostly during winters because it eliminates the dry and itchy skin feeling and makes my skin touchably soft. One can also use it to prevent stretch marks , because of the shea butter in it (but a cocoa butter cream would be a better option) . As you can see in the swatch below, the intensity of it’s thickness, it’s almost like a table butter inside a tube! Hence, makes it most suitable for winters.

Body Butter

The smell is awesome , buttery and slight nutty because of shea butter. The scent might conflict with other perfumes and that’s the reason why Bath  and Body Works released an un-scented version of this product.  Those who are looking for “intense moisturizers” that combat dry skin should definitely give this a shot!

Pros of Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream:

  • This stuff is thick and intense.
  • Helps maintaining skin’s natural moisture balance.
  • Lovely fragrance, you might as well not need to use a perfume!
  • Good for people having dry and itchy skin during winters.
  • Can be used as an overnight cream for achieving soft and supple skin.
  • Shea butter in it makes it exceptionally thick and greasy.

Cons of Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream:

  • A bit pricey, but the rates have been lowered to $17 (for Christmas) I believe.
  • The scent might conflict with the fragrance of perfume you are using.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.

Will I Repurchase Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream?

Yes, a must-have during winters, especially for people living in colder regions.

I hope the review was helpful. Happy Winters! And yes as they say “Lay it on Thick” 🙂
