My Take on Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Creamy Body Wash Japanese Cherry Blossom:

I have already reviewed enough Bath and Body Works products for all of you to know how much I love them! From the product to the fragrance to the packaging, I love it all. Japanese Cherry Blossom is one of my favourite fragrances from BBW. I like it much more than  Sweet Pea, which happens to be one of their most popular fragrances.

This is currently the only creamy body wash from BBW that I own. All my other bath products are shower gels. This body wash is very creamy indeed. However, the consistency of the product is not very thick. I would say it is something like a creamy shampoo in terms of consistency. It lathers very well and smells so, so good! It works as a great cleanser when used with a loofah. It does not irritate my skin or dry it out. Although this is a creamy formula, it is not quite as moisturizing as one might expect it to be. However, it is definitely more moisturizing than the BBW shower gels. I find a moisturizer after my shower indispensable even then as I have very dry skin.

As far as the ingredients are concerned, there is a bunch of chemicals packed into this product. But since this is a body wash, I don’t worry about the skin absorbing too much of the chemicals as I would with a cream or a lotion.

Although the packaging of this body wash is very attractive to look at, I have to say that it is not at all travel-friendly or convenient to use even when at home! I had the same experience with the packaging of the last BBW creamy body wash that I used. It tends to leak. It is almost as if the tube is too long and badly designed, and once you start using it, all the product starts gravitating towards the flip-cap and starts seeping out. It is super-inconvenient. I have to store it upside down to prevent the product from leaking!

I haven’t yet used the latest packaging for this product that BBW has come out with. It is still a similar tube, but I hope that they have attended to this problem.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Creamy Body Wash Japanese Cherry Blossom:

  • It is a beautifully fragrant creamy body wash.
  • It is more moisturizing than a BBW shower gel and is suitable for all skin types. Those of you with dry skin might prefer this to a shower gel.
  • It lathers well and works as a good cleanser. It leaves the skin feel smooth and cleansed.
  • It contains some naturally pampering ingredients such as moisturizing oat protein, skin-smoothing milk and silk proteins and conditioning milk amino acids.

Cons of Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Creamy Body Wash Japanese Cherry Blossom:

  • The design of the packaging is a huge problem for me. It is inconvenient to use as it tends to leak and it is obviously not travel-friendly.
  • Most of the ingredients are chemicals.

Verdict on Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Creamy Body Wash Japanese Cherry Blossom:

I love the fragrance. I love how smooth and cleansed the body wash makes my skin . The packaging, at least for me, is a problem. But I like the product a whole lot!
