  4. Very handy tips Somreeta.
As a kid mom used to apply egg pack for my hair.. Over the years I had stopped doing it. Today after reading your post, the first thing I did was to break an egg – apply the white on the hair and the yolk+yoghurt on the face
I am sitting here smelling all “eggy” as I type this comment :joker:

    1. Hahaha….great to know dat u are up again with ur kiddy habit Dee 🙂 BTW…doesnt it feel awesome to sit with the egg on u?? 😛 😛 😛

  5. wow… nice tips as usual Somreeta 🙂 :waytogo: :waytogo:
previously even i used only egg white for hair…. because along with the yolk it smells so bad 🙁 …. but after a review from Taps where she mentioned about Aroma Magic….. I got their hair loss and growth oil which is called stimulate. I now add a few drops of this to all egg hair masks and the smell of yolk is a lot lesser….hope this helps 🙂

        1. Thanx Ramya and Taps for sharing this… 🙂 i wasnt aware of this part!! wil try it out…. :yahoo: :yahoo:

  6. I once applied egg white to my hair and then showered as usual..with hot water. Some of it got partially cooked between strands of hair. It was a nightmare to remove (don’t laugh). :((

Yesterday, I saw Egg face pack from Banjara’s. Will it give the same results? Can I use it on my hair as well?

    1. hahahaa…sorry couldnt help smiling.
yes – if you use hot water for washing it off you would get cooked pieces in your hair. always use mild to cold water for rinsing egg pack off.
using hot water also makes the smell more prominent…the entire room smells of egg..i find that when rinsed with cold water the smell is not so bad

      1. BTW….i know im being mean Akshatha..but then…LOL! cooked pieces??? :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: hahahhahaaa!!!! ya..Dee is right..its always good to use cold water 🙂 Im not sure abt the Egg face pack from Banjara’s 🙁 personally, i dont think it wil be proper to use it for ur hair if they sell it as a ‘face pack’!

  7. I am not too comfortable using eggs on my face and hair bt these tips look so lovely. 🙂 My saasu maa used to apply egg in her hair… not that she does too much paath pooja she has stopped doing that. 😀

    1. 1. Lol Nidhi.. 😆 the answer was so cooooooooool!!! im so happy that u r one of those who have been using these tips already 🙂 BTW…i toh lllllooooooooooooveee eating eggs!! and we bengalis dont have so follow religiously so much of sawan ka mahina! thankfully..!! i cant think of meals without non-veg!!! fish, eggs, chicken…365 days 🙂

  9. Yes som, I have bengali friends, they hardly eat veg :)..Please, don’t tell anyone, actually I do not use makeup at all :shying: but I am very regular and active at trying such natural tips. I have picked up so many tips from IMBB, which I follow regularly :)..I like eggs, but I am so allergic to them. Recently, I added them in my diet on my gym instructor’s suggestion as a protein substitute and I got baaaad acne on my face. almost 2 months, the acne are gone, but, I am still dealing with the scars :(.

    1. ohhh 🙁 scars r bad!! u know…regular application of coconut water helps! i am also a no-makeup person 🙂 i looouuuu all natural natural :woot:

  10. Beer also conditions the hair….atleast the husband is drawn to you…..

I have done egg in my hair one time….and I hated the smell……so now beer is much better.

    1. I can completely understand Nia…there is no doubt abt how effective eegs can be,,…but the smell :yuck: :yuck: great dat u r using beer….and husband is drawn to u…hahahaha! speaking from experience…eh??!! 😉

    1. u can apply coconut water (water in the coconut and not coconut milk) directly to ur skin…..regular application helps to fade the marks. u gotta be patient. its always good to use fresh coconut water….the natural one…packaged stuff might have preservatives and im not sure if it can be really effective 🙁
Dilute lemon juice in water and use it on the affected area if u r not allergic or ur skin is nt sensitive…application of baking soda-water paste also helps 🙂

  11. Nice tips Somreeta! I’m a vegeatarian but recently started eating egg for dietary benefits. I wish I could try these but I’m sure I won’t be able to stand the smell 🙁

    1. Hi Ankita :thanks: i know…..we, who eat non-veg cant stand the smell of uncooked eggs…so, its difficult for u all the more!!!! 🙁

  12. hi egg-lemon pack is very useful tip for me. should i use both egg white and yolk for this pack.tell me pls :thanks:

  13. I have thick, somewhat damaged, curly hair. I use this egg hair mask which really deep conditions my hair. It’s like, you whisk a couple of egg yolks with a tea spoon of olive oil, until it looks like mayo and then you blend this with half an avocado, peeled. It’s a very rich and hydrating mask. I don’t even need conditioner after I let this sit in my hair for 20-30 mins.
As for the egg-lemon mask, it’s one whole egg, yolk and white, whisked with 8-10 drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and let it stay for 20-30 mins, according to eHow. Hope this helps 🙂

  14. I have never used anything on my hair except shampooing and conditioning. but now listening so much 4rm u ladies, i m starting to think abt applying egg and olive oil pack on my hair as my hair is so dryg

  15. i used egg white with tissuw to remove my blackheads on nose..it worked wonders! all my stubborn blackheads were removed ! so happy
