My Experience with Becca Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Crème Highlighter:

This is my first highlighter from Becca. I mostly use powder highlighters, but I thought I’d give cream highlighter a go. Since “Champagne Pop” powder version is such a huge hit among people, I thought I could totally give their cream version a go.

It comes packed in this tiny little pot. I was quite surprised to see how tiny the pot is. It contains 5.5 gm of product and it is quite a small quantity compared to the other cream highlighters available in the market. The color is this gorgeous warm rose gold and really a bang on shade for warm/olive skin tones. The texture is really smooth and creamy. It does not feel chunky and looks quite smooth on the skin. You take a bit of product and pat it on high points of your face – easy peasy! I have been using it so much since the time I got to actually start liking it. I am so disappointed in this product.

1. It is a very very soft and muted highlighter. I thought since Champagne Pop powder version has such a reputation of being a bang-on pop color, the cream version does not even come close. You have to keep applying it to make the highlight even ‘show’. I mean if you like that understated glow, this could be your product. I am left quite underwhelmed by the performance of this product.

2. This also rubs off the foundation underneath if you put a bit more of it and try to really blend it away with finger tips. Applying more of it and blending away only moves the foundation beneath and still you don’t get that gorgeous pop of highlight that you are looking for.

The very soft highlight lasts upto 6+ hours on me but it’s like nothing-there kind of highlight. I mean I love natural glow but this was not what I was expecting from this product. This should have been more of a “glowing sheen pop” kind of a product, but except for the gorgeous color, everything about it disappointed me. Sometimes, I feel I just use it for the heck of it. In the pic below, I have really packed it on to make it show. Really not my favourite and definitely not on my recommendation list.
