Skin type: Oily sensitive, acne prone skin

Hello friends,
Hope all of you are doing great! A warm hug and thank you for pouring in your lovely wishes on my big day, feel immensely blessed and lucky to be part of this happy go lucky community totally! I enjoyed the day to fullest with number of surprise visits from friends around the midnight; thanks to hubby for planning and making it more special with his friends. Now I am anticipating few more surprises as the day is moving on, though he is yet to arrive home and I need to get decked up for dinner date. But before that I would like to share this latest purchase with you all from brand Belif.

I have tried few Belif skincare products earlier as well and find them pretty good and effective on my skin type. Hence this selection was pretty obvious as it is meant for oily skin type and claims to give oil free skin without tightness. So let’s read more about Belif Crystal Cleansing Foam Fresh!

Price: $26 for 5.06 Oz, excludes shipping and taxes buy here

What it is:
A crystal clear, skin-freshening cleansing foam with natural herbs that gently yet effectively cleanse to remove oil, makeup, and impurities and leave skin soft and balanced.

What it is formulated to do:
This cleanser formula is a unique blend of time-tested apothecary herbs, including soapberry, a vitamin-C packed herb that detoxifies skin and sweet flag, which has skin-softening properties. These botanical ingredients are natural cleansing agents that are gentle and non-stripping on skin. Ideal for combination to oily skin types, the crystal clear gel-texture instantly foams on skin when water is added for an effective deep-cleansing result and refreshed, smooth, healthy-looking skin.

My Experience with Belif Crystal Cleansing Foam Fresh:

The crystal clear foaming cleanser comes in an off white plastic tube packaging with twist over cap; nothing fancy. It does have strong herb smell which is really intriguing and interesting as it soothes and calms down my sense in shower. Considering the bulky 5 Oz packing I feel it is tricky to carry it everywhere though I have carried it in my travel bag for a short trip to a friend’s place and it was all fine.

I like that it is infused with number of skin conditioning agents like: oat kernel extract etc and they literally provide beneficial results on my skin with regular usage. The cleanser is crystal clear in appearance with slight runny fluid consistency (maintaining a bit viscosity) which does not slip off easily while working on lather, thankfully.

I am a big fan of foaming cleansers hence this cleanser gets full marks for making enough lather with just 2-3 drops, sufficient enough to cover my face and neck at one go. I also love that foamy, soft lather on my skin which immediately calms down my acne prone skin with mild exfoliating property. I say so because there are times when I can feel slight uneven texture of my skin in the morning as I usually sleep with either retinol treatment night cream or AHA at times to wake up with peeled off skin quite often. And this cleanser is pretty mild enough to not irritate my treated skin; it simply clears off the acne, remnants of night cream and every trace of dry patches off my skin without leaving any slimy or oily layer on my skin.

The good point is I never felt tightness post each wash, though I do need to follow up with hydrating moisturizer but it does not make my skin deprived of natural oil and hydration so far. In fact I see that ever since I switched to this cleanser my frequency of using additional exfoliating agents on skin has reduced up to good extent (credit should also go to Amorepacific treatment cleansing oil though).

I try to maintain a regime which essentially incorporates an exfoliating scrub or face mask every twice a week apart from alternate/every day usage of Boscia Konjac sponge as my usual face cleansers seem too mild to give me deep cleaning effect in daily regimen. However after being regular with this cleanser I see that I need not to use the bamboo charcoal sponge everyday and can manage with 2-3 times of usage in a week but then I cannot ignore the role of sponge in skin care regime. I am an ardent believer in scrubbing, considering I have pretty matured and oily skin which will need frequent peeling off or exfoliation to bring the brighter radiant skin from within.

We have to tackle with break outs and severe redness at times especially with retinol treatment as it may or may not suit your skin type. Hence I try to stick to products which work in conjunction with my “mix & match” skin regimen and this Belif cleanser is certainly one of those products which never showed any ill-effects on my skin. I do feel disappointed to see that it is not very effective for black heads but it is also relaxing to notice that I am not suffering with any further black/white head attack even after wearing makeup for several hours.

Moreover after using it for a month or so along with other treatments I can say that this cleanser is definitely going to be my staple cleanser all though summers as well as in winters when I need a conditioning, non-drying product to keep that natural glow on skin. I would definitely recommend it to every beauty including acne prone skin type to try it, it might not work on stubborn black heads but with regular usage it will certainly prevent future break outs leaving skin radiant with every wash.

Pros of Belif Crystal Cleansing Foam Fresh:

• A mild invigorating as well as skin conditioning cleanser suitable for oily, combination skin type.
• It is gentle enough for acne prone skin type.
• The crystal clear cleanser forms immense lather with 2-3 drops enough to give squeaky clean facial skin as well as neck region.
• Its soothing yet mild exfoliating property helps in bringing out fresh glow skin sloughing away oil, dirt and debris all at once.
• I never felt any tightness or lack of moisture on my skin.
• In fact I did not notice any sudden increased activity in my sebum glands as it does not rip off natural oil and moisture off my skin.
• I feel pretty soft and supple with natural radiance with every wash.
• It is good enough to be used twice a day with or without facial sponges.
• It alone gives deep cleaning results while it works equally fine with other skin care products.
• It did not cause any break outs or overtly dryness on my skin.
• A little drop goes long way, good enough to last few months hence good value of money.

• It seems way too mild for deep rooted blackheads.
• Price.

IMBB Rating – 4.5/5 buy here

Well I feel that these stubborn blackheads can only be removed with weekly removal system and not a cleanser alone hence I am not expecting much from this cleanser. Considering my oily skin requirements plus soon to mature skin type I feel this cleanser is ideal for me as it gives me shine free skin along with taking care of dryness as well.
