In this wedding season, we all hunt for a bright party perfect red lipstick and I also love to wear reds in this season. Here is a beautiful red lipstick from my collection called ‘Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick’ in the shade ‘Ruby’. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick – Ruby:
Packaging:
Bellapierre lipstick comes in a nice, classy black plastic packaging with a silver ring in the middle, which adds a nice shine to it. Two sides of this lipstick are plain while other two sides are little graphical. On the bottom of this product, the shade is indicated with a colour coded red sticker. Overall, this packaging is totally easy to carry around.
Shade and Pigmentation:
The Shade “Ruby” describes is a blueish red and on my lips, it looks like a bright tomato red shade with a slight blue undertone. It is not exactly blue; it is between that blue and pink. It will compliment most of the skin tone. Maybe, I am not a huge fan of such reds, because I prefer a little warm red shade. Still, I love this bright red that helps to enhance my lips really well. It doesn’t have any kind of shimmers in it. This kind of bridal red goes perfectly with any party makeup, especially with Indian wedding party makeup. Also, this shade is decently pigmented, yet it always needs two- three swipes for the perfect colour pay off. It can hide pigmented lips really well.
Texture and Quality:
This Mineral lipstick has a super soft creamy formula that glides easily just like a butter. It keeps my lips moisturised for a long time. It is a super creamy lipstick that never highlights any dry patches. Also, the layering doesn’t make the application patchy. It’s silky texture feels very light and sits comfortably on lips. I absolutely love the way it looks on my lips.
The lipstick has a very nice glossy finish that adds a nice glow to my face but, due to its super creamy texture it transfers a lot and my lip line looks little smudgy by the end of the day. Still, it looks nice on the lips. Also, it doesn’t settle into fine lines or crease. This creamy formula is great for dry lips, especially in this dry season, it keeps lips moisturised throughout the day.
Staying Power:
As it is a creamy lipstick, it doesn’t stay very long but, it can survive for around 4-5 hours on the lips without heavy lunch. With a heavy lunch, it looks faded and demands reapplication. The glossy finish starts to fade after 3 hours and it turns into a natural red colour on the lips. Overall it looks nice and good. It is also very easy to remove the colour from the lips without any stain.
I don’t like its overpowering vanilla smell. It is very strong for me and I don’t like vanilla’s smell in my lipstick so, it quite irritates me. Obviously, it is a personal choice. If you love vanilla’s smell then you might love it. Otherwise, it is a beautiful red and I love its super creamy smooth texture that feels so nice on lips in this dry season.

- Can’t survive heavy meals.
