Jamuna M. asks:

Hi There,

I absolutely LOVE your website (I guess every girl does). I have a few strange questions. I am of Indian decent, however, I was born in Durban, South Africa. I had my wedding in Delhi (to a South African), and we both love India; however, things have changed in India since my last visit. Bigger malls, more international trends, etc. I need advice on the following:

  • Where’s the best party spot in Mumbai (for New Year’s eve)?
  • Need to buy my sister’s wedding outfit, jewellery, etc., so where can I shop at a reasonable price in Mumbai?
  • I am not necessarily looking for designer wear, so I am open to bazaar stuff.
  • Do you know of any good tailors in Colaba?
  • Should I stay in Colaba or Dardar or Worli?

  1. Party spots: Hype and tryst are ones all with superb neon lights so you will enjoy there, Prive, JW Marriott and many more… just keep on reading mumbai mirror and you will notice lots of ads for new year’s coming soon..!! *happy dance*
Outfit shopping: You could jump in irla, santacruz west near the station, natraj market in malad.. and showrooms like pagli, aishwariya etc.. and there you will find the imitation jewelry as well and for some colour-popping jewelry visit colaba causeway.. *happy dance* *happydance* and prefer staying at colaba or worli.. dadar is too damn crowded with all commercial people and crowd.. so avoid dadar that is what i feel *happy dance* hope this helped *happydance*
