Bio Bloom Skin Care Face Pack with Oatmeal, Yogurt and Honey Review

Bio Bloom Skin Care Face Pack with Oatmeal, Yogurt and Honey Review

As you all know – I tend to pick skin care products more than makeup.  I love to try new face packs, scrubs, and other skin care stuff.  Bio Bloom sent across this oatmeal, yogurt, and honey face pack to me for review purpose. All these three ingredients are my favourite in face packs, I use them as much as I can in homemade recipes.  It’s good that Bio Bloom has come up with a readymade face pack with natural ingredients for a lazy b*m like me 😛 After trying this out a few times, I am ready with the review, please read on :))

Bio Bloom Skin Care Face Pack

Product Description:

Oatmeal calms and soothes inflammatory reactions, reduces redness and  makes skin even toned.  Yogurt has lactic acid that helps in hydrating the skin.  It makes skin soft and supple.  Honey rejuvenates and refreshes skin.

My Take on Bio Bloom Skin Care Face Pack with Oatmeal, Yogurt and Honey:

Now, what sets this face pack apart from the other packs available in the market is the “free from parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, and petrochemicals” claim.  This brand is also vegan and against animal testing.  In Indian cosmetic and skin care industry, it’s hard to find products without parabens and it’s good that brands like Bio Bloom are bringing out products minus these chemicals.

Coming to the face pack, it’s a clay mask (kaolin and Fuller’s Earth based), medium thick in consistency which spreads without much effort on to the skin.  It smells distinctively of kaolin clay, Fuller’s Earth and some cold pressed oils.

I checked out the ingredients list and there were mostly natural products listed like cold pressed oils of sesame, jojoba, and sweet almond, and bees wax.  I don’t know whether there should have been more ingredients in the list because this product has a shelf life of 18 months and I do not see any preservatives here!

I have used it a couple of times.  As mentioned previously, the consistency is such that it spreads on to the skin without much effort.  It stings a little, so I avoid using it around the eye area, the stinging sensation goes away after a minute or so.

Since it’s a clay mask, I keep it for around 15 to 20 minutes during which time it dries out completely.  Coming to the effectiveness, it’s an average clay mask which controls oil on the face for a couple of hours and refreshes skin instantly. There’s a freshness that it gives to the skin, just like many other clay-based face packs.  I don’t see much other than this, doesn’t add any glow.  It does not make the skin excessively dry or stretchy, thumbs up from me for that!

Bio Bloom Skin Care Face Pack

I do think it’s a good face pack for summers.  Because of the cold pressed oils and beeswax, I think it would work for combination and dry skin types as well.

Bio Bloom Skin Care Face Pack

Overall, I would say it’s a pretty good face pack, it does not do anything remarkable, but since it’s clay based, it is going to be good bet during summers.
