Today’s review will be about this mud face pack from Biotique. Let’s see how this worked out for me.

Product description– Mud is one of the great natural resources, a mixture of earth and water with mineral rich properties that have been rejuvenating skin since time immemorial. This face pack is blended with magnesium, calcium and iodine mineral salts, and essential oils of basil, geranium, lavender and peppermint, to help lift, tighten and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

My experience with Biotique Bio Mud Youthful Firming & Revitalizing Face Pack:
The product comes in a regular green cardboard box which contains all its details. Inside the box, a round tub contains the face pack. The packaging is sturdy, nothing special in it, or actually kind of boring, but I won’t complain. I like the fact that they have printed the date of manufacturing on the bottom of the tub as well,so that I can keep track of its expiry even when I don’t have the outer cardboard packaging, which I ought to loose very soon.
Well, is anyone there who doesn’t really like mud masks? Well, I am definitely the one. Though I love making face packs at home, I never use fullers Earth, the reason being I have dry skin. I actually feel, I made a mistake buying this pack, this is definitely a pack for people with combination/ oily skin. It has this creamy,smooth texture, similar to good old multani mitti. It has a strong scent of essential oils and mud. To be very honest, I don’t like the scent, it’s a bit too strong for me!
When I apply this pack to my face, it gives a strong stinging sensation for a few minutes but then as time passes, the sensation disappears as well. It also leaves a cooling effect on the face. I leave it on my face for about 15 minutes. On washing my face, it feels squeaky clean and clear. However, I do feel it dries up my skin a little. But again, I feel this would be a good point for people with oily skin as it will absorb access oil. However, I have no no fine lines or wrinkles so I got my mom to try this product out to know if it really works on aged skin and stands true to its claims. But my mom has barely any fine lines or wrinkles, so I couldn’t really see any difference. But she said that she liked the results of the face pack and seemed satisfied.
I appreciate the fact that Biotique products are made of natural stuff. But natural products, they don’t work for all. They might work for one, and not work for the other. My mom liked it but I didn’t quite love it. In short, it would be a lovely product for summers for beauties with oily/combination.

- Provide a lot of quantity for a reasonable cost
- Leaves a cooling sensation on face
- Cleans the skin very well
- Removes all oil from the face
- Made up of natural ingredients
- Made in India, no animal testing 🙂
Cons of Biotique Bio Mud Youthful Firming & Revitalizing Face Pack:
- Not for dry skin people (at least not for me)
- Has a strong fragrance
IMBB Rating- From my side, 3/5 from my mom’s side 4/5.
Will I buy this/ Do I recommend Biotique Bio Mud Youthful Firming & Revitalizing Face Pack?
As I said, if you have oily/combination skin or mud works out for your skin go for it, else you can skip this. I personally won’t buy it again.

stinging face pack is a total no for me!

This stinging feel is common to all Biotique products, na? I also have dry skin and I don’t understand the hype around mud masks since they make my skin feel stretchy. :O
EXACTLY! I have tried one from mask from Biotique and I guess it was their Pistachio something face mask, and that one also stings a lot when I initially apply it! And we have the same skin type, so even I don’t like mud masks at all, they don’t work for our skin 🙁

Thank you!:) The pistachio pack does help to get some tan off your skin, but if you are looking for something to remove tan nothing works better than homemade packs which include turmeric 🙂 Hope this helps!
