Some posts earlier, I raved about how awesome the Aquaphor Lip Repairreally is.I might’ve stopped my search for the best lip care product right about there, but I’m always itching to keep trying out new products. If I think hard, I actually don’t recollect repurchasing most of my favorite products, mostly because I don’t like being confined within a comfort zone. Most products last for months, and I get too bored with it by the end. I got some lip care products shipped from the US to my country, and this gem was one of them!

Claims :

Herbal Answer is a light, pleasant tasting balm that soothes, comforts and protects dry chapped lips with the nurturing ingredients nature has to offer:

Aloe: With moisturizing and emollient properties to condition and nourish lips.
Chamomile: An essential oil with bisabolol. Helps soothe and comfort dry, chapped lips.
Avocado: Enriched with vitamins A, C and E. Helps rejuvenate lips.
Jojoba: Rich seed extract that helps smooth and soften dry lips.
Shea Butter: Contains natural antioxidants. Moisturizes and helps maintains skin elasticity.

Sun Protection: PABA-free Herbal Answer provides SPF 15 protection, which is recommended even for people who burn easily and tan minimally. Remember, LIPS DON’T TAN, BUT THEY DO BURN®.

Sun Alert: Limiting sun exposure, wearing protective clothing, and using sunscreens may reduce the risks of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects of the sun.

My Experience with Blistex Herbal Answer SPF 15:

It comes in a sturdy, light green colored, tube container. The pale yellow product stick moisturizes my dry lips within a few minutes. It glides comfortably onto my lips, without imparting any color or without being heavy. It has a citrusy smell to it, which is actually quite nice. However, for those who don’t like their products to smell, it doesn’t linger for too long. Usually before I apply makeup, I like to use this to prep my lips. I’m not kidding, it gives an illusion that one has always been blessed with flawless lips! It has an impressive list of ingredients, meant only for serious moisturizing and nothing else. I’d prefer this any day over Vaseline, since it heals the lips along with providing a layer of protection. With an additional SPF, this is my go-to lip care product, considering that I stay in the Gulf. I do need to reapply this after every 4-5 hours, but which lip product doesn’t need to be :p. I’ve inserted my lip swatch of the Bourjois Contour Edition lip pencil, to emphasis how awesome this stuff is.

It would be unfair to compare this to Aquaphor Lip Repair, since both are at par. But if I had to choose at a gun point (of course water gun yaar :p), I think I’d pick this one, only because it is a tad less messier to apply. Also, I haven’t found it in a number of pharmacies in my city, so I’m unsure if it is available in India. Girls, here is a true winner! Grab this one asap, while I launch a massive hunt in my city!
