Hello IMBB ladies 🙂

I’m Poorva, an engineering student in Delhi, in my final year. This is my first post here. I’m quite new to the makeup world. The credit for most of my knowledge goes to IMBB. I really want to venture into using a blush, I’ve never used one! So, please can you all help me out on how and from which products should I start for good quality blushes? For basic info, my skin is a little on the oily side, not too oily but just a little! So, it’s my guess that cream-based blushes wont suit me, but I’m just guessing, I need all the guidance from you pretty ladies 🙂

I really like the look of NYX powder blushes. Would NYX Cream Blushes suit me and what about Maybelline dream mousse blush?

Also, please tell me the shades that I can try, nothing too over the top, just subtle shades which will give a pinkish glow. My complexion is very similar to Rati’s.

(i started fancying blushes ever since i saw Rati’s review on nyx mocha blush …she is looking just too pretty here 🙂

I wouldn’t want to spend more than INR 500-600 on a blush right now!

Also, please tell me what brushes should i buy for applying a blush? Or can i apply it with my fingers?
Thank you,
Poorva

  1. If you have oily skin you should avoid using cream- based blushes. Before using any foundation or blush, i would suggest use primer (invest in a good quality product).

  2. I have oily skin, and powder blushes work best for my skin… though sometimes, when I have to wear my make-up for long hours, I layer powder blush over a hint of cream blush in the same shade, so that it stays in place…. a primer can also help, but a cream blush underneath adds depth to the color…
you may also try the Lakme stick blush, I personally like it…. it never breaks me out..

    Hope this helps:)

  3. Bourjois blush…

I have oily skin . I use the shade Rose de jaspe.. It’s lovely… It has a bit of shimmer. You can look for the ones without shimmer.
