Boots Softening Shower Gel

I present to you all, another Boots Shower Gel review. I got this the last time I went to The Beauty Shop. I love Body Washes, this one smelled good to me, so I picked it up. Let’s see whether it lives upto its ‘softening’ claim or not, shall we?
Price: 200 INR. Give or take 20 bucks.

My Experience With Boots Softening Shower Gel:
This Shower Gel used to come in pearly pink packaging earlier, when I first saw it. Now it comes in transparent bottle. The front side displays the name in blue fonts, which looks good. The back displays details like claims, ingredients etc.
The flip cap isn’t as hard as other Boots Shower Gels. I love hearing the click sound when I open and close the bottle.
The product is similar to Dove Shampoos sans the shimmer. It looks like a shampoo bottle, rather than a Shower Gel one. The gel is runny in consistency and is milky in colour. It lathers very well. It smells fresh almost like talcum powder, but I love it none the less.
The only complaint I have with Boots Shower Gels are that their fragrances don’t last. 🙁 Its really sad, because they smell so good, but do not linger even for a second. It’s so light, that sensitive noses would love it. But I do not. 🙁 I like fragrances that linger.
Moving on 😛 , after I use this in the shower, it does make me feel clean and good. And like Lemon And Apple Shower Gels, it does not feel soapy even after washing off, which is a plus!
On to the softening claims, it does make my skin feel a little soft post usage. It does not dry out my skin, but I do need to use a lotion afterwards, because the dry air is making my skin look parched.
Pros of Boots Softening Shower Gel:

- Good quantity provided
- Lathers well
- Smells good
- Leaves skin softer
- Does not dry out the skin
- Does not feel soapy post usage
Cons of Boots Softening Shower Gel:
- Fragrance does not linger at all
- Does not moisturise the skin
Other than that, I have no complaints. 🙂

Would I Recommend Boots Softening Shower Gel?
Yes. It’s a really good product, but again, I’d love it if the fragrance would linger on. It does make your skin feel soft and clean. It’s worth 200 bucks.

I have the same issue with such gels.. the fragrance is amazing and then it goes away in minutes 🙁

Almost all shower gels I’ve tried have the same issue; fragrance doesn’t last for long! But then there is always the body butters, perfumes etc. to the rescue 🙂
