Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream Review

Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream

Hi everyone,

Hope you all doing great and enjoying the last bit of monsoon. I was pretty occupied with work on the professional front that’s why I could not be regular on the blog. Today I shall be reviewing the last product from my Boots haul and it is a hand and a nail cream. Lets get started.
Product being reviewed: Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream.

Ingredients:

Price: 80 Baht for 100ml

My take on Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream:

Packaging: It comes in transparent plastic tube with a flip cap top. The cap clicks shut tightly. The tube can easily be carried in a purse as there are no worries of leakage or spillage. With the transparent packaging it is very easy to find out how much is used and what is leftover. There is a bright tomato and lemon picture on the sticker pasted on the tube, it adds to the colour of otherwise boring tube.

Colour/ Consistency: It has a beautiful peach colour. The pastel shade looks extremely nice and soothing. The consistency is just apt for the cream, neither runny nor too thick. It gets absorbed within seconds and does not leave a greasy residue.

Fragrance: The initial outburst is quite strong but that remains for only a few seconds. Thereafter a light aromatic fragrance lingers for some time. It does not smell a bit of tomatoes or lemon as projected. Fragrance though is subjective and personal but I found it to be quite ok.

Efficacy: My skin felt moisturised for an hour or so but after that it was again screaming for moisture. I even applied it overnight but dint find any substantial improvement in the morning. I was expecting the softness to last for atleast 2 hours or so but that did not happen. Also once I washed my hands, there was not even an iota of the cream/moisture left. There was no improvement in my nails or in the area around the nails. It claims to have moisturising/brightening effect but I could not find either of it.

Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream ingredients

All in all, it dint really meet my expectations and came out to be an average product from Boots.

Pros of Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream:

1. Sturdy packaging.
2. Gets absorbed easily within seconds.

Cons of Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream:

1. Doesnt keep the skin moisturised for long.
2. Initial fragrance outburst is very strong. Sensitive noses may not like the same.
3. Did not do anything for the cuticles or the nails.
4. Long list of ingredients including parabens.
5. Exaggerated claim of moisturising and brightening.

Do I recommend/ Will I buy Boots Tomato and Tangerine Hand and Nail Cream?

No for both. I want to try Loccitane ‘s Shea Butter Hand Cream now.
