Bourjois 32 Amber D’OR Blush For a Natural Peachy Glow

Bourjois 32 Amber D’OR Blush For a Natural Peachy Glow

Another makeup product from my wedding collection hehehe…In fact this is the first blush I had purchased and used in 28 years of my life. I wanted something very natural and shouldn’t seem like a blush blush.

Product Description

Fine and light powder blush. The baked texture transforms when applied to the skin into a light ultra-fine pressed powder, which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistible aroma of rose scented powder.
Its built-in mirror and brush is perfect for touch-ups.

My Experience with Bourjois 32 Amber D’OR blush

The quality of this blush is very good for the price. The blush is baked and comes in a small pot with a mirror and a brush which is a little hard but very handy. The colour is very pretty. It looks much darker in the container than on the skin. It’s a beautiful subtle peachy, orange colour, with golden shimmer.

Baked blushes give that airbrushed, feathery look. It blends into the skin very well leaving behind a very natural look. It has a bit of shimmer but not too much and the colour can be buildable as it goes on very light. Light use will give a slight peachy healthy glow and when applied heavy, there’s a peachy undertone with shimmers, which are not obvious. The shimmer is finely milled, uniform and that’s what makes my skin glowy. The shimmer is more noticeable in the pan than on the skin. It stayed on for about 6 hours and comes off easily with cotton. I don’t like products which needs too much rubbing or way too much makeup remover.

The brush which comes with the blush is hard so I tried using it with a normal blush brush. But that did not work too well because the blush hardens. And I was like what a waste. I then emailed Bourjois customer service and they mentioned it gets hard because skin cells come off the brush and sticks to the blush. This in turn prevents the blush from being picked up by the brush. Offffhh…Solution (provided by them), I scrapped off the surface with another hard brush. Once the top layer is removed, it is as good as new and the blush is very soft. I personally like the brush provided as it does its job perfectly well and it is very easy to carry around.

Pros of Bourjois 32 Amber D’OR Blush:

  • Good pigmentation
  • Blends easily without any effort
  • Lasting power, good especially for oily skin
  • Does not highlight pores
  • Good colour pay off
  • Gives a dewy and glowy effect
  • Travel friendly

Cons of Bourjois 32 Amber D’OR Blush:

  • Blush hardens after a few uses, can be corrected easily but some of you may find that inconvenient
  • Strong smell but fades when applied on the skin

Would I recommend it?

Yes! Recommended for any skin tone but if you don’t like shimmery tones, don’t buy this.  If you like matte blushes, this shade is not for you.

Would I re-purchase it?

In a different shade as this would last very long. There are lot of different shades and not all of them are with shimmer.
