Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz – Nuit Etoilee Review

You might have noticed that I have been kind of missing from IMBB since the last few days. I have been really busy since a month, but I always took out time to see IMBB twice or thrice a day, though I couldn’t comment. I missed IMBB so much. It was like a part of my life was missing. Anyway, the tough time is over and I am glad I am back now.

Today, I am going to review Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz in the color “Nuit Etoilee.” Most of you would have seen heavy discounts at online shopping sites near Diwali. Well, you think a shopaholic like me would have missed out on those discounts? 😛 I got this eyeliner just because I needed good liquid eyeliners and well, I am so glad I got this. It comes in black and green colors as well. Black was out of stock when I ordered it and somehow, I avoid green eyeliners because I never get an opportunity to apply green eyeliners, so I ordered this color.

My Experience with Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz – Nuit Etoilee:

Bourjois Glitter Fizz Liner comes in a long, sleek, tapering blue-colored bottle. My first reaction after seeing this bottle was “oh my gosh! The quantity is so less for Rs. 525!” and I still feel the same. The packaging is of the same color as the liner, so it helps in easy location of the colors in case you have 2 liners from this range. The packaging is spill proof and travel friendly.

Nuit Etoilee is a bright navy blue-colored liner with silver glitter in it. Silver glitter isn’t too fine to become invisible and isn’t too coarse to make it a strict party wear eyeliner. I don’t find it over the top. In fact, the first time I applied it when I was going to the temple, so I would say it is not at all over the top for me. The glitter is spread evenly and isn’t coarse or irritating at all.

The brush could have been a bit better. It is too thin for my liking. I usually find the need to swipe it the second time to form an even and thin line. It is difficult to make winged lines with this brush because of the thin bristles.

Nuit Etoilee is very pigmented and gives a great opaque line in a single swipe. Swiping it the second time makes the pigmentation absolutely intense. It is very long lasting and smudge proof. It easily stays on my eyelid for almost the entire day. The glitter doesn’t spread on the lids and remains on the line till I remove the eyeliner. The eyeliner comes off easily with an oil-based remover. At this price, I expected this eyeliner to be waterproof but to my amazement, it isn’t which is bit disappointing because it might be problematic for people with oily skin like me in summers.

I have applied a very light brown eyeshadow on my inner 2/3 lid and dark brown eyeshadow on the outer 1/3 and then I applied Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Nuit Etoilee on my lash line.

Pros of Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz – Nuit Etoilee:

I find the color to be absolutely breathtaking, we generally don’t find such glittery liners in liquid range.
The glitter isn’t coarse.
Perfect for parties, though it forms a good day wear eyeliner for me.
Long lasting.
Smudge proof.
Great pigmentation.
Spill proof packaging.
Glitter doesn’t spread on the lids.
Glitter is dispersed evenly.

Cons of Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz – Nuit Etoilee:

The brush should have been a bit better.
Not waterproof.
Quite pricey!

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz – Nuit Etoilee?

Yes, absolutely. Though it has a few cons, the color and the quality of this eyeliner makes up for it. I love this eyeliner and I think it is one of the best liquid eyeliners I have.
