Today, I am gonna bring you the review of a mascara that I love. I have been meaning to review it for long, but somehow always found the excuse to skip writing it. This mascara created a huge buzz when it released due to its unique wand, the wand with balls or wrap-around spheres. Yes, I am talking about the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara in Ultra Black.

My Experience with Bourjois Ultra Black Volume 1 Seconde Mascara:

It is one of those mascaras that give you perfect and full-looking lashes after one application. I am in love with it. The packaging of the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde mascara in Ultra Black is cute yet simple. The tube is black chrome-plated with golden ring and the name of the product written in golden letters on the tube.

Now coming to the wand, well, you all must be fairly acquainted with the legendary wand by now. I really love the wand. The wand is bigger and thicker than your usual mascara wand and made of rubber, but it is extremely easy to work with once you get a hang of it. Some practice will make you a pro at using the wand.

The wrap-around spheres on the rubber bristles of the wand are easily visible and add to your curiosity. These spheres really do what they claim. The brush distributes the product really well onto your lashes. It separates my lashes really well.

The formula is neither too wet and not too dry, just perfect, though you still need to give it a few minutes to dry. It did not smudge on the lower lash line at all.  The mascara gives incredible definition to the lashes with just one coat. You can easily build it up as it does not clump at all. I hate mascaras that clump and are my biggest fear. I am so glad I have found one that will keep my fear at bay. Two to three coats can give a more dramatic, defined look. The mascara is really ultra black and makes your lashes look the blackest of blacks. It lived up to its claim and added volume to my lashes. It did lengthen my lashes but only marginally, but the volume it added more than made up for it.

It did last me all day long, around 10 hours. Though it is not waterproof, it does not get washed away with one splash of water, but smudges slightly. It is easy to remove with makeup remover.
