Bourjois Volumizer Mascara
Price Rs 550
Bourjois Volumizer Mascara come in a fat black tube with very interesting ” Volume Boosting Brush”. It is ophthalmologicaly tested and is safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
The only reason I purchased this mascara was because the SA at the counter totally tempted me with the design and packaging and how cool this mascara was that gave you both day time soft lashes and night time dramatic lashes.
This is Brush No 1 that claims to prepare your lashes for 3D Volume and Guaranteed Clump free.
This is brush no 2 that transforms to create spectacular 3 D Volume. oh! Please check the amount of mascara that this brush picks up.
What I like about Bourjois Volumizer Mascara:
- It’s a very black mascara that gives volume to your lashes.
- I like brush no 1 a lot , especially for day when when I just want a little definition for my lashes,
- Unlike Bourjois Elastic Mascara, it doesn’t sting my eyes.
- It doesn’t feel heavy on lashes.
- Since it is not a waterproof mascara, it comes off easily with an oil based cleanser.
- It manages to hold the curls all day long.
What I don’t like about Bourjois Volumizer Mascara
- Brush no 2 picks up way to much product and it gets all clumpy on the lashes. Even after brushing the lashes with a clean mascara wand, the clumps just don’t go.
- Both the brushes make your lashes look uneven. After applying mascara, your lashes don’t look natural and your lashes tend to go in all different directions.

After first coat with brush number 1, although lashes look natural but they are going in different directions.

And this is just one coat of mascara with Brush 2. All clumpy, thick and uneven. I applied the mascara after swiping the brush on the side of the mascara tube to get rid of the excess but that didn’t help much.

After brushing my lashes with a clean mascara wand but still the lashes don’t look any better.

I won’t recommend this mascara to anyone. 
( Rather than trying to save some money on buying a mascara, I ended up wasting it.If there is anyway, I could still use it, please let me know.

These are two eyeshadows I picked form Bourjois – Bourjois Paris Baked Eyeshadow No 13 ( Rs 390), Bourjois Multi Shimmer Loose eyeshadow no 15 Bleu Glacier ( Rs 585)
You can use these baked eyeshadows both wet and dry. They come in variety of colours such as silver, copper, purple ,black. I am yet to use it but I totally fell for the shade.
It has obvious but fine silver shimmer to it.
Bourjois Multi Shimmer Loose Eyeshadow #15 Bleu Glacier: I was looking for an icy blue pigment for a long time now but didn’t want to spend on MAC or Inglot so this caught my eye the other day.
The eyeshadow comes in a cute pot and there is a tiny brush that comes along with it. Although the pigment is not very fine but it’ll do the job. 
And I got this soooper cute Bourjois bag free free free. 
It’s so soft and fine. And there are cute ribbons and Eiffel Tower hung on the side. )

quite possible anks. Things dont work the same way for everyone na..This just didn’t work for me as you cna see in the photos.

did you try using this with another brush? maybe that can help salvage it? i know the brush is supposed to be the hero of this product, but i feel so bad when products don’t work for me and they have to go waste!

Anks I separated my lashes with a clean estee lauder mascara wand and it didn’t help at all.

Even after drying the clumps kinds stick at the end of my lashes. I would try using it with a separate brush altogether and I’ll let you know. Thanks for teh suggestion.

I know. It could have been a good mascara considering the thought they have put into making it.
MAC has a similar type of mascara known as Haute & Naughty Lash – it works very well. I bought it when the Nordstrom counter was having a Buy 2 – 1 Free deal where the third mascara was free.
One way to salvage this product is to try to apply with a different brush – or alternately apply a bit of it (once it’s gotten a bit drier) to your eyebrows. I saw a lady on the train the other day apply mascara on her eyebrows as a brow enhancer and I thought “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Doesn’t seem like a bad idea, right?

Oh that’s an awesome idea firen. It can work as brow gel seriously because the formula in itself is quite thick and it would get drier only one month down the line. I am going to give it a try using a different brush but i feel bad since the brush is such an important part of the mascara and for this particular mascara, it is such a failure.
I was about to comment about MAC having a similar type of mascara. Rati, its the same brush picking up different amounts of product each time. I guess the second opening is not well formed in this so too much product is coming out in the second part- I don’t know if changing the brush will help if its a problem with the opening but I hope it does, otherwise it’ll be such a waste!

The eyeshadow is really pretty and I’d swatched it when I was at the Bourjois counter last time. I love the teal/blue shades Bourjois has in eyeshadows, not easily found in other comparable brands. The bag is super cute!
Could you recommend a low/medium-end brand mascara Rati? I’m using Maybelline right now and its good but it clumps a bit.

Ankita, this is illamasqua liner. Not good, it chips.
I used to like colorbar mascara,havent used it in a long time now so I cant say if the formulation is changed. But when I used to use it, it used to be good.

I had tried this once at the Borujois counter and it looked all clumped on my lashes but my lashes looked properly curled- SA dint recommend this to me since she told this will be good for those who have very sparse lashes..i like that SA, not at all pushy!!

it is not exactly nude..kind of light brownish…i hate browns but i love this shade…and the texture is soooo nice…do try it zeeba
