Bridal Makeup Photo Tutorial

Recently, it was my cousin sister’s engagement and she really didn’t want to get a Makeup professional so guess who did her makeup??? Me!!

So this is the look I did for her. We really didn’t have time then, so no pictures of my cousin! So to show you guys I did it on myself. Oh! And this is especially dedicated to Mrun and Kirti who is getting married soon.

* Apply base [I used Maybelline dream matte mousse foundation]

base

* Apply a gold color[I am using a gold shadow from lakme; wet ] all over the lid but not above it.

lid

* Apply a slightly shimmery brown color around the crease in a slight cat eye shape with a small round brush.[I am using colorbar spicy brown eyeshadow]

crease
* Using a fluffy brush and a bit of a more matte brown blend and fade the color out.

crease blend

* Apply liquid liner on top lashline and wing it out and then apply kajal on bottom lashline.[I used Eyetex liquid liner and Shahanaz Hussain Kajal]

done!

* Apply your favorite mascara and you r done!!!

I think the color that would suit the look most would be light pink, a blend of Lotus lipstick in Pink mink and Elle 18 lipstick in rose dew.

Lovely eye look you have done. We have some super duper talents here na Rati?

I loved the golden touch 🙂

Btw, hows this Gold Palette from Lakme? I’m planning to get one since the eye pot is no longer available.

  5. fathima this is so beautiful! just right for something like an engagement. 🙂 very good!
i myself use my lakme shadows foiled, over a base. they go on best that way and last for a crazily long time.

What kinda base do you use and which shadows do you have?? you see I am eyeshadow crazy..and i could only find this type duo once from Lakme..couldn’t find it afterwards…Thats why i asked..i only have this duo and the into the blue qaurtet…

      1. earlier i was using an all over face primer as my base, but once that got over, i decided to get a shadestick from mac. i have a shade called shimmersand.
i have peacock, moondust, desert rose, into the blue (limited editon) and sunlit (limited edition). then i have this one as well, which you’ve used. it’s not available any more, was part of some collection.
how do you find the lakme eyeshadows? i personally find them very pigmented but not very long lasting. also, they have a lot of fallout. however, i’ve learnt the trick to use them and they work excellently for me now. 🙂

        1. I am really wanting the three permanent line eyeshadow quartets….I do like the colors of the lakme shadows but you are right..without the right kind of base..it just fades like fog….. 😐 😐 ..I only use this color wet as the color aint that loud..but I am not really courageous enough to wear the ‘into the blue quartet’ packed on..i use it sheer or i use it as a liner like in my previous how to apply colored liner tutorial….I am waiting to buy a good primer next time i go to Ernakulam..no brands other than Lakme, streetwear and elle 18 is available around here..so waitin waiting :clock: color :clock: :clock:..I personally am not a reaaaal lover of lakme shadows coz of the staying power… wise it is awesome!… :-* :-* :-* :-*

          1. good luck finding a good base! lakme shadows are good for beginners because they’re pigmented nonetheless and quite affordable. i won’t repurchase them again. 🙂

  6. @ Devika Rani & Poorni & Neha..
it is an eyeshadow duo called sheer color eyeshadow in the shade henna..it is not feautured on the site and i could only find this once at the local shop, didn’t look specifically for this after that ….since i thought this was discontinued as it is not shown on the site but now that i have came to know that they dont show a bunch of products on the site I am hunting for it again…

@ Poorni ..so i dont know whether it is available..IF i come across it will let u know ASAP..ok?? :-* :-* :-* I am really bummed that eyepots have been discontinued coz I didnt get to purchase it! :pain: :pain:
