Burt’s Bees Peach and Willlowbark Deep Pore Scrub-Review

BY Neha Modi

Hi everyone!!!!

I just started writing reviews and have already become addicted to it and I want to share all my experiences with you gals!! Today I’ll be reviewing Burt Bee’s scrub. Before this scrub I was loyally using my Lotus Anti-tan scrub (my favourite scrub till date). But last year I came to US for few months and my lotus scrub got over so I had to look for a new one. Since I had heard a lot about Burt Bee’s organic products I was really excited to give it a try!!

Burt's Bees Peach&Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub

Product Description:

The Burt’s Bees Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub deeply penetrates and cleans the pores so that your skin stays healthy, naturally soft and nourished. The sulfate-free Burt’s Bees facial scrub uses finely ground natural peach stones to gently yet effectively exfoliate the skin. The formula also incorporates willow bark, a natural source of salicylic acid known for its astringent properties. The Burt’s Bees exfoliator helps to unclog pores and remove oil from the skin’s surface. The seaweed and Hawaiian ginger extracts in this facial exfoliator improve blood circulation and replenish essential minerals for healthy, bright skin.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Peach and Willlowbark Deep Pore Scrub:

This is my first Burt Bee product and I am little disappointed. It does what it says and makes my skin glow, smooth and soft. It actually works well if you have zits. I applied it regularly everyday when I had pimples and I could see the difference in just 2 days. It has a very creamy texture but a weird smell. Smell is neither citrus nor peachy and I really can’t figure it out but it is bad, though it doesn’t stay for long. I also didn’t like it’s finely ground peach stones (not so finely grounded) as they feel little harsh. The stones are like big chunks and feels like I’m rubbing sand on my face. Also, my tube is almost over as a little more product is required on every use (my lotus scrub lasted for a long time). Saying all that, I still use the scrub for two obvious reasons. One, that I have paid a lot for it (Almost 450 on a scrub!!), although I could get the same quantity of Lotus scrub in just half the price. Secondly, because it does work!!

Pros of Burt’s Bees Peach and Willlowbark Deep Pore Scrub:

1. Almost 100% natural, no animal testing and uses 50% recycled product.
2. No harmful sulphates, parabens, phthalates or Petrochemicals.
3. Makes skin soft, smooth and healthy
4. It helps reduce pimples and is good for sensitive skin.
5. Texture is very creamy and helps nourishing dry skin especially in winters.
6. The packaging is in form of tube which is travel friendly and doesn’t leak.

Cons Burt’s Bees Peach and Willlowbark Deep Pore Scrub:

1. Non-availability in India
2. It smells little weird
3. Quite chunky and feels little harsh.
4. On the expensive side

My Final verdict:
Though I really liked the fact that it made my face smooth and soft and made my pimples vanish but I really can’t stand the smell . I think that for the price I’m paying I can get better product giving me same effect. Since it’s not easily available in India, I would not put an extra effort to get it. So I’ll not go for it again once I finish this.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

You can try it if you like Burt Bee’s organic products and if you can stand the smell for initial few minutes.
