We have all loved Burt’s Bees for their lip balms and hand salve products, but today, I want to share my thoughts about a fairly new launch by them, lip crayons. The shade I am going review today is “Niagara Overlook.” Let’s have a look.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Niagara Overlook Lip Crayon:
Packaging: This lip colour comes in a regular lip crayon packaging like the Revlon ones. The tube has two colour-coded bands going around the tube of the lip crayon. The cap shuts tightly but not with a click sound.
It has a retractable mechanism, which ensures no product wastage due to sharpening. The best part is that the lipstick bullet easily retracts back into the bullet completely and does not stick to the sides of the tube.
Color and Pigmentation: “Niagara Overlook” is a beautiful warm toned orangey-n*de lip color. It does not contain any shimmer or give a frosty finish. It is a gorgeous shade, which can be perfectly paired up with bold any eye look or outfit. This is probably my favourite shade out of the six shades launched. The lip crayon has decent pigmentation which can be built without the product caking up on the lips. You can apply it with a light hand for a sheer colour payoff or build it up as per choice.
Texture: Since this is not a matte lip crayon, this baby is quite creamy and soft in texture and applies smoothly without any tugging or pulling. It imparts a beautiful subtle shine to the lips, somewhat between a creamy lipstick and a gloss. I wouldn’t say this is very hydrating, but it sure does not dry out the lips.
Longevity: Considering this is a sheer to buildable lip crayon, it has average staying power and lasts on the lips for a good 4 hours with light snacking post which slight touch up is required. It does not leave any stain behind on the lips.
