Calvin Klein Eternity Summer Perfume

Hi Everyone, Seeing so many perfumes lying on my dressing table, I thought of reviewing one of them today. It is Calvin Klein Summer Eternity. We all love to smell classy, rich and sophisticated and knowing my fetish for fragrances, my friends keep on gifting me perfumes every now and then. Well, this is my first attempt at describing fragrances, hope I get it right :chewnails:

Product Being Reviewed:

Calvin Klein Eternity Summer.

Price/Packaging/Quantity:

Around 70-75$. It comes in a slender, square glass bottle which reflects light green and blue colour from the back. No wonder, it is named Summer, it exudes all the freshness and soothing colours which are sure to make you feel good in scorching summers. It has the usual perfume top which is a silver-coloured spray and has a small white nozzle to dispense the perfume.  I wish it had a cap over it. Nothing fancy about the packaging barring the refreshing colours used on the bottle.

Ingredients:

Alcohol Denat, Aqua/water/EAU. Parfum/fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, citronellol, Hydroxycitronellal, Butylphenyl, Methylpropional, hexyl cinnamal, Limonene, geraniol, Benzyl Cinnamate, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citral, Benzyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Isoeugenol.

My Take on Calvin Klein’s Eternity Summer Perfume:

There have been many editions of this variant and the one which I have is the 2009 edition.  Starting with the different notes which this perfume has:
“Notes composed of litchi, pear blossom, Chinese ginger, gold mimosa, pink freesia, magnolia, musk, Tonka, and white cedar (courtesy: search on the internet).”

I am not able to make out each and every note of this perfume specifically, but all combined together, it is a very fresh and floral fragrance which stays for around 4-5 hours. The initial spirtz smell of lichee, ginger and grass and after sometime when the perfume starts to settle, you only smell a fresh floral fragrance which lingers for quite a long time.

The fragrance is more of fresh/aquatic and this can be worn at anytime of the day.  You will never feel that the smell is overpowering or over the top and hence it can be easily worn to office. I have always received compliments when I have worn this from men and women alike, it is very feminine. It is more of a summer perfume because in winters I like to wear strong perfumes owing to the strong chilly breezes All in all, I like this light floral calming perfume which gives me a fresh and relaxing feeling whenever I put it.

Pros of Calvin Klein Eternity Summer Perfume:

• Fresh, aquatic, floral fragrance which is very subtle yet very refreshing.
• Nice summery, glass packaging.
• Gives a relaxing feeling.
• Can be worn at anytime during the day

Cons of Calvin Klein Eternity Summer Perfume:

• It was launched as a limited edition product.
• Not suitable for winters as it is more of a sunny, light, relaxing fragrance.
• Packaging needs to be improved, Istrongly feel it should have a cap.

Will I Repurchase Calvin Klein’s Eternity Summer Perfume?

No, I will not.  It’s not that I didn’t like the fragrance, it’s just that I want to try something else now, may be Angel by Thierry Mugler :manicure:
