Today, I’m reviewing an eyeliner from the brand “Catrice”. Previously, I had reviewed the shade “Pearly Bird” from their long-lasting eye pencil waterproof range. Here is the review of the eyeliner in the shade “090-Petrol And The Wolf”. Keep reading to know, how this product fared for me.

My Experience with Catrice Cosmetics Long-Lasting Eye Pencil Waterproof 090 Petrol and The Wolf:
Coming to the packaging of the product, the eyeliner pencil is black in colour and the details are engraved on it in a silver coloured font. The base and the cap of the eyeliner pencil are color-coded and, it is easy to spot a shade during rush hours. The shade name is written on the side of the pencil’s body. A sharpener is attached to the bottom of the pencil and the pencil is a typical retractable one. The cap of the eyeliner shuts tightly making an audible “click” sound and hence, the packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly. Overall, I really liked the packaging and it is very convenient to use.
The shade “Petrol and The Wolf” is a beautiful teal coloured eyeliner. I love coloured eyeliners as I like a pop of colour on my eyes. Blues and greens are my favourites among them. So, when I saw this teal eyeliner in the nearby store, I fell for the colour and grabbed one immediately. The eyeliner is basically, a bluish-teal eyeliner. It contains very fine silver coloured micro shimmers, that are not very chunky and it adds a satin finish to the eyeliner. The shimmers are not luminous, adding a subtle glow to the eyes. The eyeliner is excellent in terms of pigmentation. You may check the hand swatch attached below. I had swatched it on my hand twice and the colour looks intensified. It is just the perfect shade for an evening party look.
The texture of the eye pencil is slightly disappointing. As I mentioned earlier, I loved the eye pencil that I had bought from the same range, as it was a bit creamier and had a smooth texture. But, this particular variant is not super smooth and does not glide easily on the eyelids. During the application process, I felt a dragging sensation along my eyelids. I had expected it to go a little smoother but the texture of this eyeliner disappointed me. The eye pencil is absolutely waterproof and it stayed in place, all day long. Though it is smudge proof, still, I felt a little smudging of colour near the corners of my eyes. Since the formula is waterproof, it is really hard to build up the colour on my waterline as I have extremely watery eyes. It required too many swipes to make the colour pop on my waterline.
The lasting power of this eyeliner is great. It stayed on my eyelids for more than 6 hours with a minimal fading near the corners. The lasting power is really low when it is used on the waterline. It hardly stays for 4 hours and smudges on the lower lash line. Overall, this is an average eyeliner. I expected it to work a little better than the older one.

- Does not have a super smooth texture.
- Drags & pulls the eyelids.
- Smudges a little on my waterline.
