Product Purchased by IMBB

Skin Type: Fair, oily, sensitive

Hello ladies,

Compact powders are absolute necessary for my oily skin type, I need them to set my base and I even wear them without any base makeup for a fresh look. So, as an IMBB sponsored product, I picked up this Catrice Colour Correcting Mattifying Powder in the shade “Delicate Blossom.

Price:
INR 610, around $7
Product Description:
The ultra-fine, silky-matt powder corrects and evens out colour irregularities – for a radiant, healthy finish with a natural matte look. The combination of four different colours makes this possible: pink freshens-up tired complexions, purple gives dull skin luster, green neutralizes redness and beige supports the natural skin tone.

My Experience with Catrice Delicate Blossom Colour Correcting Mattifying Powder:

A good compact is my go-to product. My skin issues are occasional pimples, oiliness and some blemishes. So, I try to stay away from heavy base makeup. This color correcting mattifying powder was like an answer to my prayers. The powder is very densely packed, it’s almost a challenge getting it on to your brush. Kabuki brushes need some extra effort to pick up the product, and on most days, I use a sponge to apply it, but a kabuki brush gives the most flawless application.

The powder is very finely milled and has a pearly finish. The compact has patches of four different colors – pink, beige, purple and green, which have individual roles to play, but the patches are not uniform, so you can’t use one color to single-handedly tackle a problem. On the other hand, the colors blend well on skin to give a radiant look.

My fair skin has red acne marks prominently, especially given the fact that I had suffered from a major breakout as soon as I stepped into hostel. This compact was a boon for my oily and red skin because it gave my skin the much-needed normalcy to my irritated skin. The bumps stayed, but the redness was considerably hidden with just a couple of swipes. My not-so-evident dark circles didn’t get much benefit from this powder though.

True to its name, it is a mattifying powder which doesn’t clog or accentuate my pores, and really gives a fresh matte look. However, this shade “Delicate Blossom” will suit fair to medium skin tones only. Dry skin will find it a bit dehydrating, so it’s best suited for oily-combination and normal skin types.

The quantity is good, and I will take some time to finish this, so maybe I won’t run to repurchase this. However, if you like natural-looking skin and have some issues with redness and such, you will love it.
