Chambor Eye Pencil Noir Review

Hello everyone!

How are the winters treating you guys? I have a love and hate relationship with this season; I love it for the overcoats, track jackets and warm leggings.  Also, my skin behaves nicely in winters! And hatred because I tend to overeat in this season, lying around in the blanket all my free time and hogging on the comfort foods.  While re-arranging my cosmetic drawer this Diwali, I came across this abandoned Chambor eye pencil.  It happens to all of us that a lot of times we buy unnecessary stuff to reach our goal of free gift. I bought this Chambor eye pencil last year to reach my goal of Rs. 2000 to get a free vanity bag.

My Take on Chambor Eye Pencil Noir:

I am a Chambor loyalist and like their wet and dry compact, coloured eyeliners and powder matte lipsticks, but this eye pencil failed to impress me! The pencil is silver in color with details written in black. The cap provided is transparent which is sort of loose and not very sturdy. I lost it and so replaced it with a sharpener cap.  In my opinion, pencil liners should always be provided with sharpener caps.

Talking about the quality, it’s a big fail which is totally unexpected from Chambor! The pencil is hard, dry in texture; does not move without tugging.  The pigmentation again is very disappointing, it doesn’t show up in a single swipe. You need at least 3-4 swipes for the colour to show. The single swipe is showing up in the swatch because my hands are fairer than my eyelids and also my hands had received a fresh application of olive oil due to which the pencil guided smoothly.  Also, the colour is just black, not very black! When we read the term “noir,” we do expect it to be the blackest of blacks! Again, the pics I don’t know how but depict a good black shade, but my pictures are deceptive :p Also, my eyes are quite pigmented.

I applied 3-4 swipes of the pencil on my upper eyelid and waterline and what I am seeing after less than 2 hours, no trace of colour on my waterline and slight hint of colour with smudging on upper eyelid. That’s why it was lying abandoned in my drawer! Some products like these taught me a lesson, never decide on buying something going by their brand name, always demand for a tester!

• Ophthalmologically tested.

Cons of Chambor Eye Pencil Noir:

• Bad colour pay off.
• Less staying power.
• Smudges.
• Hard, doesn’t moves without tugging.

Will I Repurchase Chambor Eye Pencil Noir?

NO! when it comes to black, I want intense black! For that, I stick to Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner and Colossal Kajal.

Would I Recommend Chambor Eye Pencil Noir?

Never! Unless you are getting it for free 😛
