It goes without saying that I am smitten by the “Orosa” range from Chambor. I had to pick up a red lipstick from this range, so here is the review on the shade “Sterling Red #507.” Read on for more details on this shade 🙂

My Experience with Chambor Orosa Sterling Red #507 Lip Perfection Lipstick:

The packaging was the first aspect that stole my heart. The gorgeous red outer paper carton with the detailed information and the rose-gold bullet was oh-so-gorgeous! This lipstick has an absolutely luxurious look.  The name and the number are printed at the base of the lipstick.

The outer carton does not have the name of the color though, I don’t know why. The cap shuts with a click and hence can be carried around in the makeup pouch. I have heard people complaining about the bullet coming off the base, but thankfully, I did not face any such problem.

The texture is any “creamy lip color lover’s” dream come true.  This lipstick glides on the lips like butter and the creaminess takes care of the dry patches on the lips, if any. It is very forgiving in terms of the texture. The pigmentation is wow – one swipe gives enough color to cover the pigmentation on the lips; two swipes would just be gorgeous. The color feels light on the lips and there is no need of a lip liner beneath.

This shade is one of the richest in the entire collection. It is a beautiful red with brick undertones, an ideal shade for parties and wedding season. Those who hesitate to put on bold bright reds can definitely try this one. “Sterling Red” seems to be like a mature version of a regular red lip color. It has a richness and depth which adds to the beauty of the color.

This lipstick is without any shimmer, so can be blotted to get a stained look.  The staying power depends on the food/fluid intake. It lasted on me for more than 4 hours without any fading, but with only water. When I munch on to some snacks, it starts fading evenly from the middle of the lower lip. As the texture is so beautiful, I do not mind reapplying the lipstick. Also, there is a mild minty feeling initially on application which lasts for about a minute or two.
