Chambor recently launched this new range of Silk Touch lipsticks in 18 shades. After all the razzle, dazzle and bright shades worn by me during the past 2 or 3 months, I was looking for a nice light shade with a creamy and soft finish. The Chambor SA showed me these lipsticks while I was buying their Dazzle Transferproof Smooth Eye Pencils. First of all, the smooth texture really impressed me, and the shade that immediately caught my attention was No. 610 Silk Pop. It’s a nice, creamy peachy-coral shade, with a rich finish, and absolutely no frost or shimmer.

The above swatch looks darker than what it really is.
These lipsticks come packed in a navy blue cardboard box with silver lettering. The lipstick casing is also navy blue with a silver band slightly lower than the middle area, and Chambor’s signature ‘rainbow rose’ emblem.

What I like about Chambor Silk Touch lipstick :
- • It’s feel on the lips is light and soft.
• It is smooth and creamy too.
• Said to provide hydration, sun-protection and also claims to be anti-aging.
• Claims to be “new, improved formula”
• Contains 0.5g more than regular lipsticks.
• Leaves lips feeling smooth and moisturized.
• Smoothens out fine lines on the lips.
• Lasts at least 3 to 4 hours on lips without touch-ups.
• Has a pleasant, candy kind of smell.

• Is available in 18 shades. (However….please see what I have said below)
What I didn’t like about these lipsticks :
- I would have liked them to have included more pinks and peaches in this range. There are only 2 pinks and 1 coral shade, the rest are nudes, maroons and browns.
I would like to check out and swatch the other shades from this range, especially maybe a few maroons, but whenever this shade under review finishes, I would surely be getting the same shade again.
I would give these lipsticks a :-* :-* :-* :-* rating.

hey sabrina, me too was waiting for this review since the time u told me. i had actually seen n tried this lisptick at chambor twice and it was highly recommended by ankita too. but since this particluar shade had caught my fancy ( i don;t wear browns) at 2 differnt malls, i was waiting for a second opinion. and yes, u r right….there are no pinks

Nice review Sabrina! I have this lipstick in a nude brownish shade ‘Silk Woods’ and its my the perfect nude shade for my skintone. I love love LOVE the texture of Chambor lipsticks! I haven’t checked out the peach and coral shades yet. This shade looks very pretty though m not sure if it’ll suit me.
Your nail paint looks lovely too! You should have a look at the shade ‘Candy drop’ from Lotus herbals nail enamels. Its the prettiest coral pink color and will suit your coloring very much.

Yes I remember and u were like ‘silk pop’ or ‘pink pop’. It looks really pretty and I don’t have any shade like this. Will try it when I’m at lifestyle or beauty centre next time.
I love Candy Drop! Though I’m more of a dark red sort of nail paint person, this shade is one of my fav. There’s another shade ‘Cozy Mulberry’ in Lotus herbals which I’ve been hunting it for so long but its always out of stock. I had gifted it to my mum some time back, wish I had bought the same fr myself then!

sireesha, i can reply for myself. its very economical range u get chutku si cute lipstick n chutku si cute lipfgloss in a pack. except one color in the lipstick whish i luved (a coral pinky) all the others were nudish….very fine shimmer/frosty….the gloss is also not very pigmented….i swatched both gloss n lippie on the hands n the lippie was very creamy and moisturising. the gloss was okay okay…if i buy i will let u know. but i think they would all look lovely since u r an eyeshadow person ….very pretty nudes they had…with no brown undertones n thats what i like!

yes lots of shimmer. but it is a sheer lisptick and not full coverage like these silk touch lispticks. thats why the shimmer looks very pretty. in any case, amongst the duo range, coral pink was the best shade….hope it workks for u

what what super shimmery grey eyeshadow you used?
naina, me often do that with the grey chambor eye pencil….i also use a bit of their silver pencil on my inner corners and smudge with fingers….me too no brush :lol2:
Overdose of chambor you have in your collection . How are their foundations?
rati i actually have tried only 3 chambor ranges, their matte lispticks ( i have 4 of them), dazzle pencils (ihave 6 of them) and their truly lasting lipstick range….i have never used any foundation all my life until few months ago i got an oriflame one which is the wrong shade :toothygrin:

and the lotus foundation i got in my bikari haul , i looks awesome in reality but in photos i will tell you how it looks , ahem ahem —

Rati , if I didn’t love my Studio fix so much I would run and purchase Chambor foundation. I am using the Chambor silver shadow compact though and I really like it so far. You get a refill pan along with this and the whole thing together is for 720 Rs.

but u know , my lids looked great and then what i did.. i was very irritated beacuse i wanted to sleep and was not getting sleep so i put some light grey, like very light grey shadow on the browbone and it looked scary..
what to do with brow bone when u do smoke eyes.. i just know how to do the lids properly.

You can just use loose face powder Naina as Sireesha said. Or try a not very shimmery highlight shade like the brow bone shade from Maybelline chai latte quad. I generally use that and it works well.

Ohh shit you know the other day I saw this girl with super dark skin remove a lakem foundation bottle in the loo of some mall … the shade was like an NC 35 and her skin mustve been like an NC 50 and then she put the foundation on her hand , rubbed her palms together like when u put cream and the applied the foundation n I swear she looked like a :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost: :ghost:

Know what? I always feel like telling them to stop polishing there face white…There is one girl..she comes early morning in cab and she looks so pretty without anything on her face…real dusky beauty and her skin is also flawless..but then she applies some foundation on her face..and I feel like banging my head on the wall (Can’t find emoticon right now here) …I dont know why they can’t see that they look like they are suffocating their skin with some thin translucent plastic!!

I had one eye pencil that lasted 5 years!!! i got bored of it and threw it away…. me dad got a compact and eye shadow kit during his travels….
they were good but me no remember the name now

Ratidoo you remember once someone was asking abt Kryolan make up on IMBB …. I just wanted to say that theres a big Kryolan shop here in bbay in Oshiwara with all professional grade makeup including film ka makeup like fake blood n stuff + pigments, eye shadows, liners, pan sticks, concealers, powders etc… and its super cheap … made in germany so if in anyone wants professional grade reasonable makeup and they do make up brushes also … they should go here ….

And the irony is these girls keep on peeping in my bag to see what creams and lotions I have…Once I took out that Revlon touch and glow cream and two gals asked me to show it to them..If I take out any compact they ask me to show it to them!!
I’ve stopped taking out anything but the comb to tidy up my messed up hair from morning wind!!

Hi Monika, I have tried a few of the Revlon Colorburst lippies, and I do find them to be quite sheer. This Chambor lippie is much more pigmented.

I mostly use high end foundations only so I am not aware of many drugstore foundations. But from the foundations reviewed on IMBB, I can recall that revlon colorstay and loreal have good foundations. You may check out body shop as well since you were already wanting to try it.
