Chanel Coquette Rouge Allure Lipstick Review, Swatch, FOTD
Chanel Coquette (85) is a part of Chanel Spring 2011 collection. I am not sure if it is a limited edition.
Price : Rs, 2000
Available in India : Delhi – Imperial hotel, Mumbai – Palladium Mall, Banaglore- lifestyle oasis mall
Packaging : Rouge Allure lipsticks have an all over glossy black casing . The lipstick inside has a golden covering, which is housed inside the outer black casing. The double “C” of Chanel is embossed at the bottom of the lipstick.
You have to press the bottom of the golden case to bring the lipstick out.

I have used Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick before and here’s how I’d like to sum up Coquette
- Hydrating. Never ever you’d feel your lips dry.
- Coquette has a satiny semi glossy finish. It is very buildable.
- Has a staying power of around 3 hours with regular meals, tea , coffee etc.
- It is a cool toned rosy pink with a hint of coral. It does not have shimmer but has this soft glossy finish to it. You can build to a completely opaque colour.
- It is a great shade for every day. Easy to pull off and very sophisticated.
- Does not settle in fine lines .
- Feels super light on lips.
- Just like all Chanel lipsticks, it has a mild rosy fragrance.
Swatch :
For some reason lipstick looks different on different complexions. It would be best if you try it at the boutique / counter before purchasing it. On me it looks very soft pink with a hint of coral. A very universal shade though.

I got myself a streetwear in a similar pink, thinking it was time i moved away from browns and maroons…looked good on my hand but horrid on my face. But then I went for a clean up and bleach, and now it doesnt look so bad – if i apply it lightly. I tried it on my daughter – she is light skinned – and it looked good on her. so the search continues!
I agree it happens all the time. Colours look different on different people. I hope you find your perfect pink.

you have no idea how i envy you for owning chanel. but yes combining a few shades sometimes helps. its funny how if i wear peach creme on its own it looks super reddish coral on me, so i started using it with revlon soft rose and voila a nice subtle pinkish coral colour was created.
