Hi Everyone, ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I am reviewing 3 lipsticks that are similar in textures and feel. If you like lipsticks that feel balmy and don’t mind reapplying them because of their average staying power, these reviews are for you. Hope you enjoy reading them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Interlude 78

chanel rouge coco shine interlude

  • Price : Rs 2,000
  • Color : pinky coral and no shimmer
  • Texture : creamy / balmy
  • Longevityย : 2 + hours
  • Pigmentation : semi opaque
  • Goes Best With : dark eye makeup for sure or it might wash you out.
  • Skin Tones : light to medium
  • Fragrance : rose
  • Do I like It? I do like it a lot. I have worn it a couple of times in past week. There are days when you just want that light hint of color on your lips , just for the definition. I have mostly done smokey eyes past week and this is what I wore on most days and I enjoyed wearing it. I feel it does not go too well with my skin tone when I have light eye makeup on. But I still wear it. I absolutely love the texture and light weight feel of rouge coco shines. The staying power is always an issue with these lipsticks but I don’t mind retouching. The pigmentation of Interlude is much nicer than many rouge coco shines. Because of the texture it gives a healthy look to the lips and does not settle in fine lines.

Bourjois Color Boost Peach on the Beach

Bourjois color boost peach on the beach

  • Price : Rs 785 /-
  • Color : a neon peach
  • Texture : balmy and moisturising
  • Longetivity : 3 + hours
  • Pigmentation : opaque
  • Goes Best With : all kinds of makeup. You can wear it during day time with soft makeup or in evening with more dramatic eyes. Looks best with coral and peach blushes.
  • Skin Tones : light to medium.
  • Fragrance : no major fragrance.
  • Do I like It? I was slightly disappointed with this considering the 10 hour claims. 3 hours is the maximum it has stayed on me. And after a meal, the color disappears. It has SPF 15, which makes it perfect for day time. I like the color and texture of it.The packaging is fun. Looks like targeted more towards teenage crowd but the price does not support the theory. ย It comes in 3 more shades – orange , red and hot pink but I felt this was the most unique shade of the four. It is very moisturising and overall, I do enjoy wearing it a lot. ๐Ÿ™‚

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Sourire 70

chanel rouge coco shine sourire

  • Price : Rs 2000/-
  • Color : coraly peach with flecks of gold
  • Texture : very balmy. This also has a bit of shimmer in it, which is slightly gritty. It is not uncomfortable but you if you rub your lips together you can feel the shimmer on your lips.
  • Longetivity : 2 + hours
  • Pigmentation : semi opaque
  • Goes Best With : coraly blushes , kohled eyes or even dark eye makeup in shades of green and blue.
  • Skin Tones : Light
  • Fragrance : Rose
  • Do I like It? I am slightly on the edge for liking this one. I have semi pigmented lips and on my lips, so this lipstick looks more like a light pink lip balm on me. The color does not show too well on my lips. But if you have a fair skin tone and don’t have pigmented lips, this is a really pretty color. For someone like me, it is best topped on top of a lipstick for evening wear. Since I don’t enjoy using lip glosses as such, these are the kind of lipsticks I use to layer up. The best thing is that this does not settle in fine lines. So if I swipe this lipstick 4-5 times on my lips it gives a lovely glossy shine. But as I said, a tinted lip balm could do the same for me. You buy Rouge Coco shines mostly for how moisturizing and light they feel on your lips but shades like these can easily be skipped (especially for most Indian skin tones).
